All these mods

If there are all these mods, there are people out there who obviously know how to change this game, why dont you leave the mods for when the game is finished and hlp armagan finish it? Just a thought.

It is much easier to twist and change than it is to create... or so I have thought. And there could be some sort of legal problems too.

Cracking a data file's format (and a fairly simplistic one it is) and then modifying the data is entirely different from actually programming. They could do content, fine, but not actual coding. As far as content goes (e.g., fleshing out cities), I'm sure armagan has his reasons. Think of the time he'd have to spend making sure the volunteers do satisfactory work, for one thing. He'd be swamped with volunteers, no doubt.

Some of us could do engine/gameplay programming, but keep in mind, this is a commercial game. Releasing the source is usually not an option. Though it would be cool if Armagan released it seperate from the content, so that we could port it to PDAs in a few years (ala Quake)
