All my Vassals (lords + companions) hate me!!

Recruit
After setting up my own kingdom, recruiting some lords (who at that time were' gracious' towards me), getting a few defections and conquering most of Kergit Khanate I now have almost all my vassals 'hateful' and 'vengeful' towards me, despite giving the ungrateful SOB's fiefs and towns and castles. Two have rebelled and left me for the Rhodocks taking two towns with them. Any ideas on how to achieve a harmonious kingdom?
At the moment every action I take seems to lose relation with almost all the vassals - if only I could execute a few!! I have taken my ministers advice and consulted the other lords when allocating fiefs but it seems to make little difference. Are there any simple guidelines for selecting / recruiting a group of lords who don't all hate me / each other? What factors influence this - honour, controversy?? - help.

I suspect you may be having problems balancing the likes and dislikes of each of your vassals. Maybe (I am not really sure) it is like choosing your companions. Some vassals will like you for doing some type of actions, others will hate you for doing those same actions. It could be you ended up doing more negative actions than positive ones.

You're always going to piss some peolpe off.

Best bet is to try to recruit lords from within a current family or friend circle.

Basically in the factions, there are subfactions of lords that like each other and dislike the others. Try and work out who's on good terms with who, and recruit from within that group.

Pretty hard, sicne the only easily accessible way to get data on this is as a fellow vassal as you can track who supports who for fiefs and marshalships. Then when you go rogue you'll have a decent idea. Like I said takes some preparatory work though. Otherwise you recruit a ragtag band who likely as not won't get along together.

Just search the forums and look for a fix to remove loosing relationship with lords when you assign fiefs, because it's just hilarious how such a stupid feature can get implemented. If it would work that way in AI Kingdoms, then in my game where I'm a Nord vassal, I would be the only vassal remaining as the King likes to give ALL fiefs to me (if I refuse, then he gives them to himself..)

It does that work that way for the AI.

Read the thread that the tweak was listed in.

Some of the unintended consequences were that it was very hard to recruit enemy lords even after hundreds of days into the game, when the AI Kingdoms are usually rife with distrust etc. Because there was no relationship hit for the AI, all the lords love their Kings to bits.

He typed an extra that....

It does work that way for AI is what he meant

Read the thread and you will understand.

Welcome to the throne of Your Kingdom.
A king once said something like this: "The King is the loneliest person in the Kingdom"

The only solution possible is to throw as many Feasts as You can, fight along them (this,  is if You can, my game is bugged and I cant play host right now, I am waiting for a patch). This will increase Your relations, later assign the fiefs.

thanks for the info guys. It seems its just a juggling game like real politics (everyone is a greedy self serving scumbag). I have reloaded from before I had vassals and aim to try and recruit only linked lords (my in-laws) or family groups (father, sons, nephews etc).
I have high honor because I always let lords go after a battle - most of the swadians like me - so I'll try to go for lords without controversy(??) - or ones that approve of my honorable status - not sure how this'll work but will save A LOT every time I recruit. Will also hold lots of feasts as suggested and save their asses when they're dying.

Do you give castle without making them a vote
Or you didn't Help them in battles?
or maybe you have killed Caravans
because i attack an enemy caravan It detoriated my vassals relationship sorry for my

Get them captured and then rescue them - that aways helps.
But overall its a pain in the butt with this lords as you have minimal way to improve the relations with them - why not bribe them? that bribe feature should be in.
