Airsoft snipers discussion

Ok, this is a topic for people who  airsoft and are snipers. Like me. Seriously, it's great feeling when you shoot someone from 30-50 meters with your sniper rifle, and then after the match the guy says: " Where in hell where you at? I didn't see you at all!"

So, talk about ghillies, sniper rifles, anything related to sniping, right here, on this topic!

And again, no, it wasn't luck, as I've been airsofting since -06, so I've got experience

30-50 meters is... ****ing close. Yes, i know for the ballistics of airsoft stuff it might be "far", but you still use the same pair of eye's and, trust me, its ****ing close. So good job hiding.

I remember that i once managed to hide from someone that was 3 meters away by lying prone in small ditch. They couldn't see me because themselves and most of the area around was illuminated by a floodlight, whereas i was in a, what would look like, near total shadow.

30-40 meters isn't really that good a shot. Military snipers rifles have an effective fatal range of about a kilometre.

I think the record for a confirmed kill shot is 2,430 meters.

I would play Airsoft, if I could, but sadly I am but 13, and live in a city in Scotland.

I think there are enough airsoft forums to chat about that  But what about the inmortals? It's annoying to see through the scope the BB hitting but he is still playing. That won't happen too much with assult type: that one didn't hit you? Then eat 50 more!

No no, it's them not getting it. 30 metres or whatever is a good enough shot, frankly. Whoever was saying "Ah, but a REAL sniper rifle's range is easily 1 km" is just being a smartass *****.

My airsoft sniper rifle has an effective range of 30-45 meters (not sure), and it's good enough. Anyone else a sniper?

Age is no excuse. If you're not in some group of 20-30 year old guys who like to go around playing soldier, who cares? Go round up a bunch of friends and play in a park or something. Or just shoot at wasp hives or cats.

True,im 15 and i have been playing for 5 years now.As a sniper.Im currently making a ghillie suit actually.And i dont shoot wasp or cats,i shoot birds,more of a challenge.I have a vsr-10,becouse i dont like gas powered rifles,you cant use em in the winter of Finland

Here, you have to be 18 to legally use an airsoft gun too. Nobody cares though. Cops are people too and they don't bother with a bunch of 14-15 year olds with BB guns. And besides, I bet they use their guns fairly often without proper authorization.
