I seem to have some trouble aiming... I mean i'm not a sharpshooter but even with a rifle and 280+ firearm prof, I find myself barely having a 50% hit ratio on stationary targets.
Can anyone help me Understand the aiming mechanics of this mod a little better?(I understand firearms of the era weren't too accurate but the game seems to miss at point blank at times...)

Also why does the target crosshair close in on itself and begin to invert after 250+ firearm prof?

Thanks for the Help...

Well this is the deal. You want hit with a regular matchlock at all almost...
But when you say that you have 250 in firearms.. and the crosshar begins to invert itself is very strange. Cause that doesn't happend to me eaven if I use a rifle and has 500 in firearms.

It's supposed to be inaccurate like that. That's why in all the screenshots you see, the players have their troops all in a line firing simultaneously. A wall of bullets is more likely to hit something than a few potshots. Using guns with your character isn't a very good idea in my opinion. I just wait till most of the enemy riflemen are dead then I charge in with a sword and order my men to do a bayonet charge.

Here's the screens with the crosshairs beginning to close in on itself and invert...
This is me aiming with a Flintlock Rifle(280+ firearms), pressing shift to zoom in;(Notice the crosshairs, anyone else got this problem?

i must say on the eagle and radiant cross mod its much easier to hit something with the matchlock rifle. i dont know y it appears to be harder to hit on this one.

i've noticed, aiming with the rifle is pretty weird. I get crosshairs similar to the crossbow, cept i can't seem to hit even the easiest target. I suspect the bullet trajectory is messed up.

I have noticed that aiming with a rifle is weird. I am now even missing a few shots! This is awesome!

My rifle's cross-hair was quite.... It looked like a bio-hazard signing. Seriously xD Oh well, on extreme distances I have merely to point my cross hair's blue dot on the enemy (Higher than normal) and I shall hit. On closer distances I just need to aim low.

I like this mod. One of my keeps to be sure.

Edit:  And I only notice this now, but did my forum rank just drop from ?Master Knight? to Knight at Arms? :p I also got 10% watched. My guess is that I spammed at some places? :3 I do remember making some less-useful posts but nothing in the ways of spammage. Of course, that's my memory being flawed more than anything else.

Yup I get the bio hazard crosshairs too... A tad irritating because every time I increase proficiency it shifts ever so slightly and I have to keep re-calibrating my aim to hit targets at various distances...

But all that aside, This is my new Favourite mod... Love it.

Someone needs to write up a sharpshooter tutorial... lol.

I checked in the Moderate tab and I see that you got a 10% warning for spam..

what the heck. It seams that I have the same problem. Now I am a Squire?. I was a Sergeant Knight god damnit.
EDIT: I mean. A squire with more than a thousend posts?

I actually like it the way it is now, cause if you would make it more accurate now it would be so wrong.
Besides.. doesn't every one like the challenge to spawn hit with a rifle ;D

i agree aiming is rather.... wierd on this mod but i found a way of shooting a teeny bit better aim lower and wait for them to come alot closer as they come in big groups most of the time, but i don't play the mod anymore got rather boring very quickly but good fun at first hope it can be improved in future releases if that is the case.

Can't find much spammage going on in my post history, but I can't be bothered to look further. Mods decided I spammed, then spammed I did xD. It's weird to have a low rank name with huge post counts though.  :?

Anyway about aiming, It doesn't matter much for my play style (which is commanding rather than fighting) but I can confirm that aiming lower than usual lets you hit.

But with the lower rank thing. I know what it is now. I
The changed the ranking after days logged in instead of posts
