I seems that actually the what we have now to select which target attack is an AI who goes after the weakest one even if it is far away from its borders.

What usually happens is that after capturing it the attacker army comes back to its core lands leting the recetly captured castle isolated and undefenced. So it often the original owner takes it back due the current defenders have to move from far away becoming again least defended target for them... so the army comes back from far away capture it again and come back to the start point :smile:

So it would be nice if when selecting a target to be capture the AI can evaluated how much defendible is the fief, in other words... do not capture those ones who are so far away that your army will never have time to reach it to break a siege.
