I suggest that the AI archers would aim their bows in the middle torso of the player, instead of always the head.
I also suggest a small "random factor" for crossbows, that instead of being like sniper rifles, their arrows would sway just a little away from the targetted spot, due to the straightness of the bolt and the shape of its feathers, wind and air resistance.
I also suggest bow limitations for certain armor types, like the great helmet with the cross, plate armor and any iron gloves to be unable to wield a bow, or having accuracy restrictions due to visibility, agility and grabbing ability..
I think the bows themselves are pretty perfect now.
