Currently ai will fight till death if it gets caught by a stronger party, even if they are overwhelmingly outnumbered and they have 0 chance of winning. For these cases i would wish for a barter option the same as the player has: the weak party can propose to pay x denars and not attack your kingdom for y days if let go. This could be even added between ai encounters without player. In my opinion it would bring a bit more immersion - not every conflict / encounter has to be resolved by sword and blood.
Only concern is if this somehow impacts snowballing and clan economics in a negative way, i think mexxico could give a solid prediction in this regard.
