AI Autocalc on Field Battles - Numbers vs Quality

Hello!

Suppose two AI lords face each other on the field. The battle is autocalculated.

Lord 1: 100 Nord Footman

Lord 2: 50 Nord Trained Footman

Who wins according to game mechanics, Lord 1 (numbers) or Lord 2 (quality) or it's 50% / 50% chances?

Note that I'm talking about a field battle, not sieges.

Usaully number tells the outcome of the battle

Autocalc clearly ignores quality. I put over 100 Swadian Knights against two Sarranid footmen and I managed to lose three.
