It probbebly will if their was someone contacting the admins about it, the creator said goodbuy earlier in this thread so waiting is waisting time.

True if the mod cannot afford the requirements for subforum. On the other side with an extra release of Jerkuh and me, at least we earn the rights to open one. (He can be the moderator for sure Of course)
 
I was already thinking in continue it as an upgrade, named Age of Blades: Conquest of Empires.
So, it comes to it for releasing the mod i'll try to get an Sub Forum on.
But for now i don't even have enough resources to show for a Pioneers Guild tropic.
 
if the taunts from Aoe2 have been removed, there wont be any copyright issue, cause although the game is based on aoe2, it is not a direct copy of the game, and all troops and buildings are based on real things from medieval times, there is no creative rights involved.

Nice to see the mod is still being developed, now by other creators.

Jerkuh, seeing you mentioned Conquest of Empires. Are you guys planning on adding the new warriors? Like the Eagle Warriors?

I also have a relatively simple troop tree idea: Castle. When you pick Castle you can then choose any of the faction specifics.  :mrgreen: Prices would ofcourse be high.

The above along with the missing units (Heavy Camel Warrior etc.) should make for some interesting gameplay.

Also I really strongly suggest to remove the daggers of ranged units. Instead give the ranged units unlimited ammo(Server configures or mod configures?).

Some other issues I've found. Non cavalry being able to mount horses.

Some other things to consider: Infantry Shields being unbreakable. When horse is killed the rider dies. When the rider dies the horse dies.

Personally I think that the above would enhance the AOE feeling and at the same time bring some more tactics and immersion into the MP. (And making it less like Warband MP at the same time)
 
I will personally be focusing on SP and Jerkus prefers stay on MP. Of course i am too busy with my own so only Jerkuh is working on it at the moment.

(Conquest of Empires? Nice name still it would be better if you could explain whats on your mind :wink:)

I also agree on the dagger part, but i think their is just a melee function needed otherwise you can easely charge on the archers without recieving dammage.

The cav idea is pretty nice.
I will certainly put that on my list.

About the other units, like the ones from castles, i also think they need to be added, but i am only a scripter.
And with a small amount of spare time atm i am not planning on learning how to moddel.
I need to have some people to moddel and texture the items needed for all the other units.

If you look a view posts back you will see i posted an concept plan.
Their are already some slight changes in that plan but when the plan is in a fase that it is pretty stable and understandable for others i will post it.

If you want to help with the scening of it we could make it happen.
That's no problem, but understand it should be just a castle like in aoe self.
i wasn't planning on making it a total castle but just building the scene so the castle is inavoitable for ennemys so you can use it on them with own archery.
 
About a melee function. Letting ranged units get no melee function means they are forced more so to act as ranged units. With unlimited ammo to support that. A skirmisher for example can take down several enemies in close combat, because of the dagger.
 
Which is only if you're skilled. Even people who are roughly up to your skill can kill you if they are melee fighters and you're an archer. If we used your idea, the second a melee/cavalry unit touches a archer, the archer is dead.
And once again, it is not an exact copy of AOE2, stated many times. And shut up about your ''Then call it something else hurpadurpa'', basing it on a game and trying to copy every detail of the game are two completely different things.
