1. Leather on tunic needs to be darker, like the shade of the boots. looks like cow hide atm.

2. I think a bascinet type helmet would suit better.

3. I agree there should be some sort of shoulder thingy, shooting off the shoulder maybe? like the mameluke mail?

As long as he makes it so the spearmen has to pick the shield, and gives him no single handed weapon, he can use the two handed spear and still have the shield on his back. So a two handed spear would work.

Add the shield to it's armor model, and in Gmax set its vertices' rigging to solid.

I find it better than the bascinet. With this shield and armor it is more accurate.
