Thanks!

Here's the first version of the Cavaliers armor (the rest of the equipment isn't meant to
fit to the cavalier!)

Great! The militia looks wonderful now too.

Really, the whole armour should be bulkier, but it's a nice start.

So do we absolutely have to be blue? I always played as Green or Grey.

Well... as far as I know some items like horses and helmets don't work with heraldy,
that's why I would need a hundered textures, when I do everything in every color...
And I would have to write a code, that changes the computer faction color, you choose
to a different one. I think I can do that, but I make small steps... so for now blue is good

...and yeah I will make it bulkier

I think they can, ask you1 from the Warsword team if it's possible. I think he is doing it with the Bretonnian faction.

I think those are actually textured with the heraldry, rather than using a banner. Not positive on that.

Well, if you ever did work out a system, Albertus, I'd happily do the tedious chore of re-texturing every single object in the correct colours.

Looking better, considerably; although I'd suggest going even a bit further. The cavalier's armour appears to be quite heavy.

Maybe give the spaulders a boost, too.

Good luck when you get around to this fellow, just found this gif sitting my documents.

The cataphract and the conqueror were my favourite units.
Note: I hope this mod can get the AoE 2 animations as well...

Eh, reproducing the animations would take a long time, not serve a real purpose.

As far as I'm aware, each unit only has one attack animation anyways, right?

 The Animations? Definitely not. I never made any rigging and I believe it's a lot of
work. And usually the AoE units are seen as a few pixels, so I believe the Warband animations
will do a good job as well.

...by the way... next to modding right now I'm doing some painting on my living room door.
It's not yet finished, but I like it a lot. (the size is about 1 meter x 1 meter)

By the way, I noted something about Byzantine culture. Just to tell you (of course you probably know) that the Saracen-style Byzantine buildings in AoE II are a mistake. Ensemble/Microsoft must have thought that Byzantines = Turks or something, because everyone knows that Byzantines are Greek, therefore they should not have Saracen/Turkish buildings.

In AoE II I really liked the Tarkans - fast, although a little expensive, but really powerful and with good HP. And I loved the Huskarls. Fast, cheap, in age IV you make them super fast, (almost) immune to archers, good attack when Elite and upgraded.

And I'll say this again: All four thumbs up for this mod.
P.S.: It seems that the other one is dead, so this will be it. But why only 7 factions? Or it's only for the first versions?

That's interesting, I assume it's stencilled?

Yeah I made a concept and then designed stencils for it, put the lines on the wall with a pencil
and now I'm only painting it with colors.

Probaly (in the first versions) I won't have different buildings for cultures...
I'll explain:
The scenes in Mount and Blade are static, so putting a building into a scene is quite complicated.
So you need a seperate scene for every possible combination of buildings...
That's why I decided to make different scenes, for different sorts of buildings.
Still there are many scenes:

Towncenter-scenes:
(Towncenter, TC+1 House, TC+2 Houses, TC+3 Houses,...) right now I got 6 scenes

Fields-scenes:
(Empty scene, Mill, Mill+1 Field, Mill+2 Fields, Mill + 3 Fields,....) right now I got 9 scenes

Economy-scenes:
(Empty scene, Lumber Camp, Stone Camp, Gold Camp, LC+SC, LC+GC, SC+GC, LC+SC+GC) 8 scenes

Military-scenes:
(Empty scene, Barracks, B+Stable, B+Archery R., B+S+A) 5 scenes

Fortification scenes:
(empty, wall, castle, wall+castle, ...maybe more to come) right now 4 scenes

All in all right now those are 32 scenes Doing it for two cultures would mean I'd have to make 64 scenes.
The work might not be a problem, but the size of the mod would also increase...

I really like this one:

...but I guess using the original soundtrack would cause me some problems, right?

Uh, I think Microsoft has dropped the rights on those and even if they haven't, Microsoft games allows the use of their content for non-profit venues with accreditation.

You're fine.

Miscrosoft will never hear of you... so... no.

So that you know keep in mind that a lot of mods are using the original soundtrack of multiple games. Take 1257 for example, it uses music from Medieval 2 Total War and nothing happend to it. Well... somth happened: it became better.

Which also means, now that I think about it, you could rip their art for the loading and titles screens if you wanted. I'd certainly not complain about the change.
