After modding the game, my playthroughs are 500% more enjoyable. Give it a go boys.

So, after 40 hours on Steam, running the whole map, just to see my Athletics go to 50 was unbearable... I decided to give mods a go:

- The instant dialogue change, where you don't have to wait the game load 2 times (their characters in the field) when encountering bandits or lords.

- Gain EXP in tournaments again, with better rewards, and you can wager more than the poor man's 300 denars.

- Seeing your character progress in minutes, not 10 hours for a +1 Athletics or ransoming 100 warriors for +2 Roguery.

- Smithy stamina increased, so I can do more, but still limited.

- Even faster time speed, a fourth option when travelling huge distances

And there's a lot more involving sieges, hideouts and clans....

I'm seeing my character grow for once!
My biggest gripe with the game was the XP ratio that it was giving me, which was none after a certain point. Every time I hit lvl 10, it's like a wall that I can't pass and I've never seen my companions level even once.

I fell in love with the game now. I recommend you fellas hit up Nexus, there's some good stuff in there already.

I know it is in EA right now and the devs are working hard, but they better watch their backs as these modders might end up creating the game the community wants rather than their own agenda.

That just means the creators can take inspiration from the most popular mods and incorporate them into the game for it's full release.

It will happen, another game "Rimworld" saw this happening and eventually the dev added things that mods made easier.

I’m so tempted to install the tournament mods but I remember how disappointed I was in Warband being able to use them to train and earn money with no risk. Had to stop doing them, it felt very game-y to use them that way.

Then again it does let you roleplay as someone that makes their living through tournaments.

If tournaments were more rare I’d mod it for sure. So far though in my first playthrough I’ve won at least a dozen of them and its only been about half a year. In the midst of this incredibly fast all-out war engulfing the world that sees castles and towns change hands non stop they have time to run tournament after tournament.

You do know there is a trainer that lets you adjust the gain ratio of everything? Like 1-64X more xp, renow and so on

Those changes would probably make the game 500% less enjoyable for me. To each their own though.

I used Bannerlord tweaks and its a nice improvement specially the part where garrisons now grow faster and are compairable to warband now in my current game.

If the Devs are smart, they'll do what Tynan did with RimWorld, and absorb features from popular mods into their game. This will turn the community from a source for feedback (good) and playesting (better) into a true collaboration partner (best!)

It looks like they tried to do that with the original EA release, I recognize a couple features from Warband mods.

Is there any crucial dialogue or choices that are missed with instant dialogue change?
If you like seeing Looters dialogue every single time you approach one, no, nothing you miss. You can speak with them all the same, it just skips to the part where it gives you the menu on the left with options to "Talk", "Send troops" and such. Same with lords.

The contrarian.
But sure, I bet you love Smithing stamina bro. Or spending 20 hours to gain 5 levels of Athletics. Makes it so rewarding that's already lategame and you're still mediocre skill-wise.

Even better, every time you encounter a looter, you love it when it loads up to their scene, saying the same thing for the 400th time, THEN you have to load it to the map again. That's so cool man. I love it too.

Same! Some seem nice but I love the grind. I’m finally level 10, have my smithing up to 60, have a decent set of gear, 3 fiefs by my generous Vlandian comrades, and finally married Liena.

My 1.0.5 play through has been my most rewarding M&B playthrough in a long Time!

Well troops are almost bug, they dont upgrade, will be good to adjust that rate a little.
Probably npc lord sure get high tiers so its kinda unfair for the player

Acctualy no, you just have to make sure they attack and get some kills, for example if i have 10 peasants and 20 experienced troops and throw them all in, the more advanced troops will get all kills meaning the peasants wont get anything, so my advice is to click on the banner in the partu menue with the unit selected thn pick like class 4 as "mounted cavalry" then when in combat just press 4 then charge and only the peasants will charge

Well to be fair if you’re spending majority of your time on horseback your athletics won’t train too much, and I suspect most of us fight on horseback because it’s just fun that way.

I’m definitely installing that dialogue mod though. Make this game a little bit less Mount and Blade: Loadingscreen

Smithing though I feel is in a “concept” phase still. The whole system needs an overhaul before armor and jewelry and things are added to it. Stamina is a terrible concept and unlocking everything is unnecessary the way it works now. Mods for it are only temporary and I’d rather not get used to a system I think will be overhauled.
