After installing 0700 and 0701, fmod.dll error

Heya, after installing the 0700 patch i cant run M&B any more, it comes up and tells me that it cant find fmod.dll (which is in the root game directory)
and installing the 0701 didnt help jack.

The dll file is there?

try the following:

Open a command prompt (start -> run -> "cmd" [enter])
navigate to the m&b directory (usually c:\program files\mount & blade)
type the following:

regsvr32 fmod.dll

hit enter.

Close down the box and try running the game now

hmm it came up and told me that fmod.dll has been loaded, but the entrance point (or somthing similar (trying to translate it to english)) DllRegistreServer cant be found, and the file was not registred

Strange.

Have you tried uninstalling, delete the game folder and then download & install the full version?

Maybe installing version 0.702 will help. To use that, you need to first install 0.701 and then download the following file:
www.taleworlds.com/download/mount&blade.exe
and replace the executable in your Mount&Blade folder with it.

nope, but iv tried installing it in a different folder.

well, it didnt excactly help (except if i was trying to find the fastest way to close down my pc ^^ (which is not the case ))
can it be the fmod.dll that has gone bad?

After having replaced the file with the original 701 file my pc has started to crash at random....

Other than the obvious ... I can't help you Logan.

A full uninstall ... delete the mount&blade folder ... full install of 0.701 ... then replace the mount&blade.exe with the new 0.702 one.

Update drivers.

Virus scan ... spyware scan ...
