I'm playing as a vassal to King Ragnar (think that is his name =/) He declared war on 3 factions at the same time. One of the factions didn't worry me because it was on the other side of the map. The other two were next to us though. Within 25 in-game days we were down to one  city and two castles. Peace was declared and now I have no fiefs left and don't know what to do. I was also captured during the fighting and lost all my men and a lot of money I spent the remainder on food and troops, was attacked again and lost, now I have no army or money.

Should I leave the Nords and join another or stick it out and try to re-coup?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,
Bernard

Abandon ship!

Join a faction that is at war with the nords and deal the finishing blow. You may even get a fief from doing so.

Ok, thanks

I will stay with the Nords untila war is declared then I will switch over.

Toughing it out with the Nords,. Eventually leading them back from the dead can be much more satisfying though.

Very true, I will feel like a coward if I change on them then destroy them while they are suffering, if I stick it out with them and lead them to world domination it will be a bigger accomplishment. Also I won't have to gain new relationship scores.

I think you should stick with the Nords. Being a vassal but not having fiefs is kind of a good thing - the fief that the king gives you when you first join up is always some poor crappy village at the edge of the realm which is the first to get looted in every war anyway. And by the time you get a couple of fiefs in a normal kingdom it'd already be big enough that other kingdoms are jumping at you to beat you down. With your situation that won't be the case for a while. So what I'm saying is that it's an opportunity.

Besides the Nords rock at sieges. Worst come to worst, if they Nords get wiped out you could then join up with another faction.

Very high loyalty and integrity sticking with Nords - better when you stomp the enemies and reclaim their old lands too.

One day I hope the game is able to recognise this. You see lords defect all the time and there should be a reward for sticking it out with a badly hurt faction.

I think the reward is that the less lords there are in a faction the more fiefs a lord get because the size of the faction is the same with the same amount of fiefs.

EDIT: I stuck it out with the Nords and am now doing very well, peace was declared for about 30 days then we went back to war with Swadia I managed to capture Dhirim and Sargoth and took a big bite out of the defenders at Tihr. I was awarded Sargoth as my fief ( very profitable ) we have 3 new lords who defected from Swadia to us and now Swadia is down to 2 castles and one city, we're not at war with them at the moment but we are at war with the Sarranid ( I think that's how you spell it =/ ) hoping to take Shiraz or at least Weyyah castle before peace is declared.

Thanks for the advice
