Advice on the English Claimant

Hey there. So after the English almost completely conquered Ireland, I decided I would get back at them by taking up their claimant's cause. Big mistake. I should have sworn fealty to King Henry and gotten the lords to like me first, because now it is impossible to convince any of them to join my side. And it is so hard to take forts when all you have is less than 150 men. So any advice? Should I just do tournaments and fight battles to build up my renown and levels? Or is it a lost cause when I am fiefless?

Surrender yourself for treason. In my game England have conquered the irish , we are now focusing on France , with holdings in Bordeaux and Barcelona. For you I would re-roll a new character , or join another faction. You lose a lot of renown , honour from your treasonous attempt.Serve with them get all the lords above 40 rep. Then start your fetish of overthrowing Henry.Good luck

I figured what you say would be the best thing to do, but in the end I gave up on Simon and joined the Templars. Yeah, my honor was at like -35, but it is slowly going up. Really I just need to get a new manor and pay a priest a bunch to raise my honor. Thanks for the advice, though. I will keep it in mind for next time.
