Advice:Effect of the Field of Vision on the Campaign Map

I propose to make the visual effect of the campaign map more realistic: troops should be harder to spot in hidden places such as forests, and, conversely, easier to spot in broad areas. Larger units are easier to see, while smaller units are harder to spot in hidden places. In this way, bandits hiding in the forest will be more difficult to find, so players need to be more careful when entering the hidden place, be careful to encounter bandits at any time. This also makes AI and player ambushes possible. When small groups of troops hide in the forest (perhaps allowing troops to take cover in advance), the troops being ambushed are at risk of being attacked in unknown circumstances. This also makes reconnaissance skills more useful, as higher reconnaissance skills will make it easier to spot hidden units and harder to sneak up on.

agree and good suggestion...Think there is some sort of this system in this or in work (or at the table) since ive seen a perk that amplifies this sort of behavior. Maybe wasnt this much in detail but it implied something like that

This suggestion must be included. I can't think other way of having certain perks and skills implemented (unless they don't do anything or you can spot parties across the map). It shouldn't be too difficult to implement it either, is just a matter of reducing and increasing the fog of war (plz take a look) (@DJenxu1 I think you meant to say this in the title)

But imagine if some dev actually sees this thread... o_O

My intention is roughly the same as what you said. I have already explained the specific implementation in the game, and may need to be improved and supplemented. My idea is to increase the strategy and uncertainty of this game. Now recruiting a high-reconnaissance companion allows me to see a large range of troops nearby on the map, which makes the game repetitive and simple. The current game bores me as a player who has played Warband for 6 years and Bannerlord for more than 7 months. Bannerlord still needs a lot of improvement, and fog of war is just one of them.

Yes, the ambush is also mentioned in the development log. I don’t know how TW will implement the relevant parts.
