ADVICE : Do Incremental Saves!

Hi everyone,

I see a lot of people overwriting saves and getting stuck after a bugged quest or a corrupted save. In the current state of the game, I cannot recommend enough to do incremental saves! Make a new savegame every hour or so, with a different name. If you get stuck after a bugged main quest, you can load this one and wait for a fix or check if there is a workaround on the forums. Do it OFTEN.

I always make a new save slot before accepting a quest just in case. I've had to reload an earlier save a few times now because I got screwed by bugs and crashes.

Yes it's a good habit, I just edited the first post, make a hard save BEFORE finishing "Investigate Neretzes's Folly", the next quest is bugged and you need to do something before talking to the 10 nobles. I'll write it down in a spoiler just below.

Before talking to the last noble, go next to Marunath (Battania), just west of the city, you'll find a Hideout in the forest, clear it, then finish talking to the 10th noble. After that you have to talk to Arzagos, who will tell you to clear that same Hideout. If you don't clear the Hideout beforehand the quest will be bugged and you won't be able te retrieve the piece of the Dragon Banner.
