Hello traveler, you're playing Adventure Net, and my name is Raptorfoot. I will be your Adventure Master on your quest.

Greetings traveler, who are you and what is your quest?

My name is Big McLarge-Huge, and I'm a rough and tumble space captain looking for treasure and hot alien babes.

Hello Big McLarge-Huge, welcome to the beginning of your quest.

I'm sorry Big McLarge-Huge, but your notions of 'space' and 'alien' are most confusing. You speaking of 'alien' infants baffles the even the well-traveled mind of Raptorfoot. It is only the fifth age and many folk are but simple peasants, at the hands of the gods.

Big McLarge-Huge, what is your quest?

And traveler are you human or is your kind one of the other races?

My quest is to find the Holy Grail.

I am of the other races. I am a 100m Sprint. Tortoise sprints, specifically

Ah Big McLarge-Huge, it is good to know your quest is to find the Holy Grail, a most noble quest if there ever was one.

I'm sorry traveler, but 'sprint' is not a race, at least one not yet known to the small world inhabited mainly by human, elf, and ork.

What is your race Big McLarge-Huge?

It is good to know you are human Big McLarge-Huge, as in the known world they are by far the most common of races and most able to do what they please.

Big McLarge-Huge, you find yourself in the human village of Jedburgh, on the frontier of the last empire. What is your relationship to this village traveler? Is this your home village? Or is this place completely foreign to you?

I don't know this ****hole of a town. Jedburgh has no use for me unless there is a tavern with lusty bar wenches and quests.

Jedburgh, like most human towns, does indeed have a tavern. Would you like to go to the tavern traveler?

Aye traveler, from the middle of the village in Jedburgh you head to its tavern. As you proceed you take note that the time is morning, but dark clouds creep on the horizon, foretelling the day may bring rain or at the very least shadowy overcast. You pass two older villagers of Jedburg taking their time to the fields. Most of the villagers are already tending the wheat and barley fields surrounding Jedburgh.

You are now directly outside the tavern in Jedburgh traveler. It is a two-storied building with the engraving of a stag on a wooden plaque above the front door. The first floor windows are a milky glass that only allows shadows and light through but the second story's windows are currently all closed by wooden shutters.

A bench is to the left of the main door that has an older and rougher man sitting upon it with grey stubble and a white short haircut. His eyes are closed with his head bowed as a thin pipe emits tobacco smoke from between his lips. He wears a tan cloak over rusted heavy metal armor. Nothing rests on his head and his boots are leather. You see no sword but do make out the stitching of yellow thread that crudely makes a grail on the upper half of the cloak nearest to the wearer's breast.

What do you do traveler?

Greetings Raptorfoot.

I am Ûkbûk the Painted an Ork in search of fame and fortune so I can rise from a captain in the Thunder Hollow clan to a Warchief in my own right.

No, I'm sorry traveler, but you're Big McLarge-Huge, whose quest is to find The Holy Grail and is currently at the village of Jedburgh.

You enthusiastically introduce yourself to the grizzled veteran, giving your full name. This elicits no verbal response from the older man, but instead it does gain his attention. His head rolls up so his eyes can glare are you and an eyebrow of his skeptically raises.

He tells you to '**** off mate' and 'go shove a hedge of razor vines down your throat or up your arse, whichever more you fancy, nobsucker'. He then raises off the bench with a heavy grunt and standing up he is short with a rickety posture that has his upper back arched over. He makes a move to head away from you, which would follow the main path out of the village to the west. He moves slowly and it seems impractical for him to travel.

OUTSIDE, SEARCH FOR HEDGE OF RAZOR VINES.
You examine the local vegetation growing around the tavern at Jedburgh but don't find any razor vines, let alone anything substantial enough to be considered a hedge. You've primarily found wild flowers, weeds, and overgrown grasses. You do know however that villagers commonly use hedges as boundaries to mark their specific plots of land, but the western region of the last empire is less known to have those as the eastern region of the last empire. As for razor vines, you're more likely to find them in deeper brush or marshland, or along the cobblestone of the more developed townships.
