Adventure in the East is a semi-historical mod for Mount and Blade: Warband, taking place in the Middle East in the year of 634.


Some of the features:

- Story campaign

- 9 starting factions : Roman Empire, Rashidun Caliphate, Sassanid Empire, Avar Khaganate, Bulgar Khanate, Satrapy of the Alans, Kingdom of Aksum, Kingdom of Makuria and Western Gökturks.

- Rebels can create Armenia and Judea if they manage to capture settlements

- Small tribes can establish minor kingdoms

- Many historical lords and other characters

- A lot features reworked and added such as dueling which gives the player the ability to face enemies in single combat

- Large battles

- New quests

- Bandits can raid villages

- New RPG elements (for example, Persuasion skill is now useful and can be used to negotiate with characters)

- New graphics and music which creates an immersive atmosphere

- A detailed map

- Diplomacy 4.2, Motomataru's Campaign AI Fixes and Tweaks, Freelancer 1.5 (bug fixed) and FormAI mods integrated

Hi mad_scientiss, you update your mod very frequently. Are updates compatible with saves of previous versions? (TLD has got a mechanism implemented which updates old saves.)

TLD is one of the biggest projects in the franchise spanning years of creation by tens of contributors; few teams can afford the mod's sophisticated innovations such as updating old saves.
TLD is open source, so the mechanism could easily be adapted to other projects, if it's a priority. Which you didn't answer. (I just took a look at the code. It's really not that complicated.)
 
This mod looks pretty identical to the Rise of Islam, but i guess you got a bunch of new stuff worth to go back to the good old Warband
