Let's put it this way: In the UK you pay less for a 8MB connection with no download limits than you do for a 192kbps connection with 3GB download limit in South Africa
you are a bit behind right ? , there are lots of other solutions.
i use a 100Mbps fiber connection (no bloody modem or adsl crap required)
in sweden tons of people use 10 or 100Mbps ethernet or fiber connections (some lucky bastards even have 1Gbps) , adsl is for those unlucky enough to live in a "bad" neighbourhood (dial-up is less common here than thin people are in the US)
