Additional Starting Options

I wonder why there is no Son of a Farmer starting option... it really feels empty if I can't choose to be the son of a peasant.

Also, something like a Soldier option is needed in the 3rd level of character creation, where you choose your final occupation. It would basically be a not-so-wealthy foot-oriented squire.

And:

I want "Bastard Child of the King of XXXXX", or cousin, or distant relative, or something, anything to give you a claim to the throne...  so you don't have to play second fiddle to some annoying pretender when you rebel.

I agree that more starting options would be great, and I would think fairly simple.

I would think what each choice does to your character should be indicated before reaching the actual character screen.
