I saw Archonsod 's post about adding songs to MB  http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,24458.0.html

but i didnt find the music.txt file in the data folder as instructed.

found it instead on  ....  \Mount&Blade\Modules\Native  might wanna take note of that.

Archonsod 's post is locked to replies so i posted this here sry if its the wrong place...

Anyway might take advantage of the used space and create a small discussion here.

All faction leaders are men why not a lady for a change? Surely it would be historically correct,  most European nations at least were ruled by a queen during some period of their history.

As faction leaders? No I don't think that would be to historically correct. But you are right about the queens but I'm not sure if they actually ruled anything.

This was already discussed. Queens(not the homosexual type) Would be an acceptable feature. Although we dont demand this from taleworlds, since they have much more stuff to worry about. And because Kings where indeed a lot more frequent.

Queen Elizabeth was a queen who ruled England by her one some and over saw the defeat of the Spanish Armada

But she didn't rule over Vaegirs or Nords.

Anyway, would be a cool feature. But not a necessity

Well Swadians look suitable enough to have a queen, plus it wouldnt be a major pain to create a female npc.  It could even help adding some background to the faction.

Hear hear!

I'd like to see a lass or two on the battlefield!

make a mod.

I really wish people would stop using this as their stock answer.  If that's your suggestion, then why even reply?

because "make a mod." is a good suggestion in regards to the question posed.

hell, if someone with enough brains and motivation were to really get serious about it, maybe they would set up some kind of system in which the crown passed through families following the death of the monarch, which could occur naturally with time or after defeat, capture, and execution on the battlefield. Through such a mechanic, it wouldn't necessarily be uncommon for females to inherit the crown in some cultures-- of course, there would need to be courtship, marriage, and childrearing mini-games to fully support the heriditary line feature.

the swadians already have a king.

Or do they?

Anyway, I think the dev team has more important things to work on at the moment, and this should go in the suggestion sub-forum.

It assumes that everybody has the knowledge, the skills, the creativity, the tools, the time, etc. needed to make a mod.

I'd love to know how many people have released successful mods, vs. how many people play M&B.  I'd bet the modders are less than 5% of the total user base.

Besides that, It's a really tired line -- it's in every thread that even hints at a change.

btw.  nothing personal, it's been bugging me forever, this was just the time I commented on it.

No it doesn't. I would say that if someone has played Mount&Blade (long enough to decide that it needs women leaders), and then comes onto the forums to talk about it, has the time to learn. And then change the one line of code required.

...This has what to do with what?

Nothing personal here either.
