Adding A RTS Element to Simplify Order Giving

Right now order giving is complicated, annoying, and outright a pain in the ass if you have more then one unit type. (even more annoying for archers (WB & WFS) and musket men (WFS)) So what I am suggesting is adding a pause button that zooms from you character to a over the battlefield view so you can give your orders then unpause zooming back to you character and resuming the battle while your orders are being followed out. So you don't have to sit there and press F1 then F2, then if you screw up you have to start all over or fix what you messed up like use blunt weapons when your unit or units don't have blunt weapons. Right now the order system is only good for "Follow me!" and "Charge".

NO, it'd be unrealistic and WAY too easy. I like current system, I feel like I actually am a man, who is commanding, not some god looking at my frozen troops from above.

Also, I find nothing difficult in current commanding system.
1, 3(f2, f4), hold f1 - infantry go to proper place you set in tight formation.
2, hold f1, f3, f1 - archers go to proper place and wont shoot.
3, f1, f2 - Cavalry will follow you
Those are basic commands I use(Except for weapon orders from PBOD) and I have no problem with them.

Seriously, this game do not need to be any easier.

No mater which way you put it a game will always be unrealistic and yes I agree that it would make the game more easier to play so turn up that difficulty level. Its not like the enemy does anything else rather then charge you in the beginning anyways.

Mount and Blade is more about combat than tactics and strategy. Go play Total War or King Arthur if you want this sort of thing.
Still, the command interface could use an improvement. Perhaps some sort of pause function when you backspace so you can give orders better?
However, PBOD (Pre Battle Orders and Deployment) allows you to tell your men what to do before the battle starts so you can formulate a plan of sorts.

PBOD? How do you do that? I didn't know it was in the game. The tutorial is pretty limited as in it never went over it. (or are you just commenting on that idea?)

It's a mod. Diplomacy, PBOD and the Native Mod Compilation are basically improved Native games.
PBOD: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,142816.msg3430191.html#msg3430191
Diplomacy: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/board,176.0.html
Mod Compilation: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,126993.msg3063183.html#msg3063183
I'd reccommend Native Mod Compilation because it combines all of them, but you can choose which ones you prefer. Hope this helps
