Add specific motives, existence reasons, actions, objects, quests to the minor factions

Examples:
  • They give quests to the player related to their motives, like attacking their rival faction (Khuzaits for Karakhergits)
  • They themselves try to conquer and hold the fiefs of their rival factions
  • More diverse dialogue for each minor faction
  • Other random quests
  • They provide their special troops to the player based on relation
  • They try to be the ruler of their original factions, or just be an independent faction with own fiefs
These are the general ideas. They are not programming-wise very complex additions to the game. They would add great immersion.

Implementing them would not in any way disturb the general balance of the game.

Game designers would decide what works or what not bases on examples like above.

Yes! They should be the missing "claimant". If not claiming their rivals throne, at least claiming their land!
