It would be extremely helpful when distributing/comparing equipment, for example.
It would be much faster for me to compare and distribute equipment from the Loot/Store/Inventory screens if I didn't have to [hover over weapon to check stats] -> [go click Next Character arrow] -> [hover over weapon again] -> [repeat X times for all of my followers]. The solution is to add a keyboard shortcut so I can just stay hovered over the equipment I'm considering buying/looting and cycle through my followers via the keyboard with my left hand.
It would also be convenient comparing skill levels in the Character screen, and it would just make sense to be consistent because the UI at the top is the same.
