Add Hunt to Warband

I was thinking that it would be nice to have a Hunt button added to the Camp menu. What would happen is you would be taken to that map area like in combat but it would only have animals that would normally be in that type of area such as deer, wolves, bears, etc... You can hunt them for meat, and furs.

Just a thought that would be very interesting to add to the game via DLC. Or maybe it could be modded in by one of the very talented mod makers. I am not sure if this has been brought up before so excuse me if it has been.

Agreed, Also maybe hiring villagers/peasants ot hunt for you with hunt skills and if they die, well they just do. IT would surely make game more realistic.

Like a tournament of most hunts, and the best hunter gets a prize.

This idea could actually go somewhere. It can get very upsetting when you're in mid-siege in the middle of enemy territory when you run out of food.
If you're trying to go the honorably route and don't want to go raiding, there is little else to do, and most of the time you will lose the progress you've made trying to starve them out. It could also be a very nice little mini-game, and as suggested before, going ahead on a hunt instead of a feast would be amazing.

LedZep - that's why you've got to make sure you're well stocked with food that wont go bad before you start the siege

Hunting would be awesome... I have flashbacks of Oregon Trail coming to mind all the sudden lol... but yes, hunting was a HUGE thing in medieval times when it came to society, politics, building relationships with fellow lords, and training men for combat... not to mention the whole needing meat to eat.

Not just meat, but furs and trophies. For tournament type hunts, you could have rewards for the most prized kills, but let's say you go out on your own - collecting furs and trophies (teeth, claws, horns, etc) from your kills could be worth a good bit of money. I could see that as a way to make a living for low-level players in the beginning.
