Ad aware - [constant crashes]

The mod has started crashing for me constantly over the last couple of days and this never happened before, I would get the odd random crash but the game has just become unplayable.

The only recent change to my pc is installing Ad-aware. It's a long shot but could this be causing the crashes? Has anybody else used Ad-aware or is using Ad-aware with this mod and had problems?

I have Ad-Aware installed (but a very old version), and have no problems.
But since it's a relatively small program it might be worth trying to uninstall it, although I doubt that's the reason for the crashes.

It's a long shot, I know, but what has started all these crashes and freezes in battle all of a sudden? Everything else is running fine with no problems what so ever.

I'm quite far into my game now and a few factions have died out, could this have anything to do with it? I'm completely stumped as to why this has all of a sudden started happening. I had four crashes yesterday in the space of an hour and the battles kept freezing for a couple of seconds.
