"rarely post" is a bit of a stretch, you've posted 14 times this month and always in a Bannerlord thread! But in any case, I was thinking about the last 6 months or so; a few times you've posted illogical theories, getting yourself worried about nothing. I'm sorry, there was nothing to be gained by me saying it I suppose, but I was letting off steam.

Well if that helps you, glad to be there for that

I only post in the bannerlord threads, I only posted one outside to ask if the forum will be responsive one day. I don't consider 14 posts a month a lot :/

But that's not the topic

We would be bored if we only had a sliver of the game to play. It would only leave us wanting more.

It's not a stretch at all, that's not even a post a day. Since you reply to every critical post made towards Bannerlord and TW, you're easily hitting a hundred times that many.

Here's a tip: Get over yourself and whatever high ground you think you occupy, and stop attacking people who aren't brown-nosing every little thing the devs say or do. You are about as relevant as the last release date we were given.

What are you getting worked up about? Who cares if Dan is a brown noser, hes right in this instance. You’re making up a bunch of bull**** outta nothing. Nobody cares if you only posted 14 times this month, nobody asked, he simply stated most of your posts are bull**** conspiracy theories. It doesn’t seem like you put any thought into your posts and let your 12 yo emotions type for you.

And wtf makes Dan a brown noser? Taleworlds doesn’t acknowledge it, they don’t give him a pat on the back. He’s just a fan that’s old enough to think and feel rather than just the latter.

TW Please decide on a release date before these plebs get too rowdy

They have more important things to do than worry about an internet forum you know

Calm down people. Discuss the topic without personal insults or don't post at all.

Which is what most of us were trying to do, before certain people decided to poke their exceedingly long noses where they didn't belong, and start throwing insults around. That's always been the go-to on this forum though, particularly if someone is being critical of their emotional investment, so I suppose we shouldn't be surprised.

Edit: Oh, and on a slightly brighter note, Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful time, eat and drink way too much, and have a whole stack of presents to open.

I don't even respond to most of the stuff I vehemently disagree with nowadays, this is the first time in a while that I've bothered to argue- and frankly you would do yourself a favour if you took the criticism to heart and looked at the logic of what you write. I don't 'brown nose' because I have myself criticised a fair bit over the last couple of years and increasingly I've tried to ignore posts that seem daft to me- this exchange with you, Nordmann, was an exception. You can't have a discussion without an honest exchange of opinions, and sometimes those opinions will be polar opposites- especially when someone makes rather strange and irrational statements. Both your logic and your wording- 'There's something not right about all of this, something not right at all' sounds like dialogue from a crap book trying to build up tension- are stupid and attract comment. You call me a brown noser because I sometimes bother (used to be more frequent) to contend with statements that I felt to be inaccurate or unfair, while I consider people who make irrational and sometimes contradictory posts to be irritating fools who jump on bandwagons and ignore logic for the sake of venting frustration or simply feeling part of a group (if the game is ready to play, there isn't a logical problem, yet some of you seem adamant that both stances are correct. Also, it is obvious that if one or more parts of the game have been demonstrated it doesn't mean that they are completely finished and certainly not that the whole game must be ready).

I was talking to Nordmann, I'm not sure why you thought any of that was directed towards you.

Yeah I noticed that later, I didn't see his post before yours (wqs on my phone)

I would like to echo Nordman’s comments and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year and if you don’t celebrate Christmas then please take the comment to refer to your special celebration whatever that may be.

On topic to the post.
Personally I would like to see a best guesstimate of a release date published by TW and to have them keep that date amended as they encounter and solve problems.  They have made a couple of statements alluding to the availability of the game at different times but what we are missing is the statements saying we aren’t going to be able to make that estimated date because of “(insert reason here) the cat died and we are all heart broken and no work will be done until we have a new cat” but we are now hoping to have it available in “2nd quarter 2019”.

I believe we are all adult enough to accept that type of communication and it has benefits.  The hype and disappointment does not get out of control and we don’t get the bun fight we had at the end of 2016.  Hype is of no benefit to TW at the moment unless they are going to start selling it pre-release or they need to maintain public interest to maintain their government support, if they are receiving any.

Yeah saying exactly what is delaying the release might help, I agree with you, it's even imo the next best thing to a release date.

It'd be more interesting than the blogs, though. Even if those are still interesting, they are not what I am looking for.

Well since they got guidance from an external PR/ marketing re: community managment that gave rise to these weekly Dev blogs, my assumption is that they are keeping silent intentionally and not due to incompetence.  Possibly because the game is actually releaseable and they just keep ****ing about with endless minor **** that's nice to have but not necessary/imp and this results in their perpetual development time

That is a very real possibility and even if the game is not releasable, by continually making small alterations as to how some things work / look / act you extend the final release date.

TW needs to release the game at 2018, if they postpone it longer than 1 year from now, it's going to be seriously dated at launch, graphics wise, and I think the company wouldn't want this to happen.

Every year, someone says that lol, sorry it's not against you, but we heard it before, I think it is really of no concern, they will just delay it even more to rework

Thats funny cause the game looks phenomenally better each year. They’re doing just fine.

Why do people keep saying that? The game doesn’t feel dated. The armor and enviroments look amazing. The characters look odd sometimes, but that is it. There have been worse looking games released this year.
Elex
Any multiplayer survival game
Mass effect Andromeda had some questionable graphics.

And it is not as if we need to have the best graphics, because we also want battles that contain 100s of characters.
Besides, aren‘t we used to ****ty graphics from warband? But we accepted it because of the gameplay.

You would have hoped that other devs, possibly AAA ones, would have peneterated this niche gameplay style by now.  Competition is healthy and might instill a sense of urgency to get this game out
