is there going to be an update where they will make looters do blunt damage like before?
I watched a video when they were testing 1.4.0 that looters now do blunt damage again, but when i tested it now i lost men
is this stupid thing going to stay in the game?
and if so anyone knows of a mod same as morgh's editor for bannerlord ? (so i can change their weapons to do blunt damage)
this small change made me stop playing the game for a week till I saw that video, and now when I lost men i closed the game no joke I'm starting to regret paying for the game
 
I don't think there is a mod for non lethal looters right now. It's only a problem because there isn't any other great way to level troops. Garrisons might work if branches in the troop tree didn't halt their progress.

Honestly, I could have lived with looters killing a couple troops but the problem with that is you only get a couple levels ups making it less than a zero sum game. In short, it feels like it's never worth it to fight them. If you must fight manual battles, bandits offer good prisoners, better loot, and it seems like more xp as well.

I had to mod in an xp bonus to maintain intererest.

I know but constant battle loading to kill 5 10 15 looters gets boring quickly they don't know how to balance it maybe if they made it so if u
auto-resolve a battle where maybe u have 30 men and looters have more men you lose soldiers but if looters are less u only get wounded
or make it a difficulty setting chose if u want looters to kill or wound your men in auto-resolve
 
They're perfectly fine as they are if you want to train your recruits one or two levels. You shouldn't be training all the way up to elite units on looters anyway, and if you do, you deserve grinding you need to do it.

1.4.1 have fixed Leadership perks that gives XP to troops. Now they properly give XP per individual soldier rather then per stack. They also tweaked auto-resolve looters in a way, that high tier units don't get killed and while I don't do auto-resolve, so I did not test it personally, you should give 1.4.1 a try. It's relatively stable for a beta branch and don't have major issues.

It did? :shock: I tried it right after the update on a new save and I only saw an increase of 30 xp on a stack of 6 soldiers. I am going to have to try that again!

I am not sure what amount of XP should be granted, so I don't know if 30 XP per 6 soldiers is correct or not. Also there are two different perks that grant different amount of XP. One is limited to tier 1-3 troops.

Right, that's what I read and I got really excited and had to test it, but I don't think those are the perks they were talking about. 30 xp is the "medium" amount that was also awarded before, and 15 xp is for the other perk. As far as I can tell it is a flat amount just as it was before. This can be tested easily on a new save by choosing all character creation options that give Leadership, it will push you high enough to unlock Raise the Meek when you start.

Damit, you're right. It still gives XP per stack, regardless of how many soldiers are in it. Well that's disappointing. I hope this is actually not how devs intended this perk to work, if yes, it's worthless.

I don't mind if I can get high tier units only through combat, but there should be way to turn your recruits at last in to tier 2 infantry through some sort of training.
 
Yea they need to fix looters, I have an army of 170 and I auto resolved a battle against 1 looter, I lost 1 banner knight. I never auto resolved again after that

Yeah, that sucks. And right, I feel the same. Imo the best would be something that not only gives experience based on how big your stack is, but also based on how high your Leadership is. That way at high level you might be able to train even high tier troops, providing that you put a considerable investment into Leadership. I am hoping that they will address this once they get to the point where they overhaul Leadership.

May be a clan role of "drill sergeant" which you can assign to companion or yourself.

i know most of the time i fight looters to get my army to tier 3 then i go fight lords, with empire i mostly do it to tier 2,because in tier 2 u get bowmen and swordsmen but with sturgia aserai and vlandia (dont know about battania) u need 3 tiers to get those types of soldiers
and the problem is when u lose 2 3 with every battle u need to recruit again so u need to fight more looter to gain xp for the new recruit that's what sucks especially when u lose your army and ur back to 0 and when you are doing all of that and your faction is at war

if they bring back trainer perk (like in warband ) that would be awsome maybe balance a bit more this would fix my problem, because im back to playing viking conquest these days haven't been playing bannerlord for 2 weeks now. or maybe they bring back training field traine your soldiers ur self and it gives same xp as looters but takes longer but u dont loose any men

oh yes, I was playing LTD mod, recruiting lvl 55 Glorfindel with 6 training is so sweet.
