About the shield's postion when and while attacking. And swing from above to down.

Currently, when attack, the characters move their shield away from the front way too much. I think they should stay their shield at the front of them as much as possible, and don't move it too much. Regardless of any attack direction.

And when they swing from above to down. I think it should start from above the shoulder, not above the head.

The shield acts like all other weapons and is "direction" based. So if you screw up the direction, just rotate your body if you need to, but you have to be just as good with a shield as you are with a blade. It prevents the shield tanking that was prevalent in Warband

The shield being able to be moved is extremely useful. If it were always in front of you, your head or legs would be susceptible to projectiles or low/high strikes. With this, you can choose to protect those areas specifically. Additionally, with the shield movement it becomes a lot more useful to use angles in combat to protect a flank while you circle for a t-angle.

What I meant is; when the character start and while attacking, they lay down their shield. The shield should be face the opponent, which is user's front. Not open widely.

Oh, sorry to make you missunderstood. What I want is not make the shield completely stay still at the front. Of course it can and should move side to side or up and down. But not open widely or just completely lay down.

I'm sure it's because of the game mechanics. The person who's attacking would not be in any danger and would spam the attack button if the shield was to protect them regardless they click block button or not.

But if your concerns are of visual aspects - I agree. It's the same in Warband, as you're about to swing the sword your character lifts their shield arm up ( especially during mounted combat ) as if the shield is as light as feather.

That makes sense, but I still want it, at least just in visual.
