About serial keys

Okay here's the thing, me and my buddy all have our individual serial keys and they work. But I want to know if we can put one serial key on two pc's (at his home and when he comes to me,on the pc he plays on at my house.) So basically two pc's will have the same serial key but he will only play on one computer at a time.(The other one won't be on, while he's playing on the other one.)

Will that detect it like a generated key or something. Because the reason we want to have one serial key on two pc's is because the mod NordInvasion keeps persistant characters linked to an individual key.
Just want to know if it's possible

Technically, you should be able to use 1 key on as many computers as you like, provided that only one of them are playing Multiplayer at one time. If a second computer tries to play MP with the same key, it will kick him out. So you should be in the clear and it should work for you.

can you help me because i bought the game from the shop its the collectors edition and i enter serial key to activate through steam and it keeps saying invalid product code any solutions?
