Does it matter where you sell stuff?
I mean, apart from the trade goods, which I know are different for the towns.

But what about armor and weapons?
Do the smithy's give better prices for them than general merchants? Or does it matter?

I think it would be nice if there was more than just one merchant per town, with variable prices. Make shopping an experience

trade is the only way in Mount and Blade to earn your money...buy and sell.....i think that's the most important thing in MaB after battles and slayng bad guys

I just do the missions for cash...and when I really need it I'll hit the arena. I've never bothered to try to make a profit from merchantile.

Ya, I never bother to trade anything. I just go looking for fights and sell off the booty in town and the losers into slavery. In fact I don't even bother picking anything up if it's not worth at least 50 denars. And sure, I'm swimming in cash.

It matters where you buy stuff, at trade 4, as a neutral I see a purchase price difference of 3 denar between Zendar and the other towns for large bags of bolts. I haven't checked the selling price, but it should be about 1 denar difference. All that means is that it is not worth the time to travel to one of your factions towns if you have items in inventory to sell.

In towns I do not see any price difference between the merchant, armourer, or weaponsmith, not even for the merchant items.

To keep rp up I will only sell the proper items to the proper people, but it does not matter in the game.

It would be if Merchants didn't have such diddly-squat purses. Each merchant only has ~1000 dinars, so it's really hard to cash-out on a big trade.

It can be annoying, but you can always sell the excess to the armorer or weaponsmith. Or you can trade out goods if your a bit behind... You can really open up a store for selling if you need to buy something valuable from it, like buy a new expensive horse or a weapon hehe.

Well, the Merchant in the Vaegir Capital (Revilyn or what ever the name is - but not Rivacheg) usually ends up having 14,000 denar. However, of course their inventory slots are limited to sell to.
