Ability to refuse quests from nobles

I'd like to have this, as I hate those "Get x number of y and bring it back here" quests. I usually just save right before I ask about the quest so I can reload if I get those. However, there's already an option to refuse quests from merchants so I don't see why the same can't be done for nobles.

Probably because it wouldn't be very prudent or healthy to tell a noble to go to hell when you just asked him if you could do him a favor...

I'd like that option, as well...however. I can just see why it's implemented the way it is at the moment.

I whole-heartedly agree with this. I'm a level 42 Vaegir seargant-knight-at-arms, and they want me to scavenge 4 leather caps from around the kingdom?

I much prefer chasing raiders and noblemen at this point.

Where as I can't stand havign to knock out that stupid nobleman! There are loads of interface problems I think.

Maybe the middle road here's even better:
You're able to refuse, but that will piss off that particular noble, so he won't give you quests for a while.

Well, then we all might as reload, right?

Not if you turned on the "No quitting without saving" option

I don't think anyone plays with that option. It's rather redundant actually, seeing as you can decide for yourself if you want to play it realistic or not, there shouldn't be an option for it.

Back on topic. I second Johann67's idea, the noble being pissed at you because you refused the honourable task to go find 4 rawhide coats.

I always play with the 'no quitting without saving' option. Makes things much more interesting; you know there's no backing out of anything, ever. If you lose it all, it's gone.

If you don't want the noble pissed at you, don't ask for a quest.

Yeah, I get it No Quitting without Saving is so hardcore. Though your guy doesn't ever die. So you should probably delete your save when he gets knocked unconcious with a bladed weapon.

I'm not saying it's 'hardcore' or anything. I'm just saying it means that when I screw up, there's no chance I can go back. I know that if I could, I probably would, which takes some of the fun out of things for me. I never really liked quicksaves in games either.

I wouldn't mind if there was a real chance at death, though. Realism is great.

oh, theres a way to turn off autosaves? whenever im about to die or somthing and lose my 200 man army, i would just alt-tab and kill the .exe, rofl.
