There should be an ability to garrison villages, I keep having this problem where my food supply and everything for a town is doing great and suddenly Vlandia declares war, raids all my villages and now I have a food shortage again. It's easy for them because my villages have like 20 villagers to defend.. I feel like we should have the ability to garrison/upgrade villages like we do with castles.
