SP - Battles & Sieges Ability to change rank and file of formation

I know changes / improvements to formations are planned. But this is one particular feature I’d like to see.

I have a line of infantry 3 men deep. I’d like to make the formation 4 deep without dragging the whole line out.

Being able to press some keybind and order the formation to adjust this way would be fantastic.

Perfect idea my dude, was just thinking the same thing. Seriously needs to be just a button press of "add rank file" "decrease rank file".

Second on to that, I wish the the little flags that show the ranks for the troops have alternating colors. Right now its so hard to tell how many ranks im drawing out, when it constantly just looks like a messy square of flags.

Dragging the entire line feels pretty clumsy, inaccurate and inefficient. I'm not saying bring it back but Warband's "stand closer" commands did a much better job. Why not just let me use scroll?
