Have just finished reading through it. Amazing stuff. Now when I'm daydreaming about MB I find myself wondering what Floris should do next, instead of planning my own character's next move! I'll certainly download the dimplomacy mod at the least, now.

Do you find that as the game wears on and there's more kingdom management, that the game becomes too complicated and less interesting?

It seems Calradia has been reduced to 3 powerful kingdoms here. Holland, the Nords and the Sarranids. If I were Floris, I would hope for a war between the Nords, and then killing off the most powerful kingdom, before eventually eliminating the smaller ones.

That's not how it works. The big consumes the small to get bigger. Eventually it becomes big enough to consume the other bigs.

Just picked up M&B again and came onto the forums to find this was still here. Great job, I'll have to find where I left off (back in chapter 35 or something) and catch up (although admittedly I read chapters 49 and 50 already, oh well). Also, GREAT armor! I love it .

Rather than go to sleep at a reasonable hour last night, I read this.  Great, great, great stuff.  I'm really tempted to do my own series, even though I am not the greatest at the game.  That way you can learn of my defeats and triumphs as I stumble my way through the Diplomacy mod.

I would suggest getting the hang of any mods you are using and making sure you like them before starting an AAR character or at least before posting your AAR. I suspect many AARs have been derailed because the character in the game got boring or troublesome. I ran into some issues myself and faced some hard decisions that required creative solutions. Also, decide early on how much time you want to spend writing and when you are going to do it. I write as I play then edit later. Since I get wordy as all hell this means I spend more time writing than playing. Also, take the time to at least glance at other AARs on here to see what sort of styles, organization, and unique or common features there are. Then, once you are comfortable with your mods and know generally what, how, and where you want to go with your character and writing draw up a few chapters and toss them out there. If you need any help feel free to ask any of us fellow authors.

The wait will be well worth it. Not only does he have this AAR he is working on, but he has a gigantic mod and a real life.

Not a great way to return either.

I'd think he'd be more appeased with sacrifices of pork and chicken.

Oh da lordis Floris, leave us not witout yer narritivity an yer postcard pictures inserted over excellent screenshots and supremely well-done maps. Pleas bring forth back to us yer mighty light an wise rulershippity. It was yous that forged th way and you who made da game I play (with Duh and Caba and friends) and you whose NPC I done tortured/seduced/bribed ta giv me information I ain't even used yit. Abandon us knots to the terrible RL and may the light of massively awesome modding shine upon thee. Amen.

Oh and P.S. please fix the glitch where I don't get a loot screen sometimes.
