The ignore function has been there for years.  The ignore thread function is fairly new.

Now everyone stop spamming this thread please.  I doubt monnikje wants to come back and find it cluttered with comments that he can't reply to.

To keep the thread alive, better full of crap then empty of everything. We have a hope that if the thread creator keeps seeing the unread post then he will come back.

yeah, let's get his attention by writing as random stuff as possible. Maybe he forgot. Real good.

munchiepoo: I'm glad your question has already been answered. Thanks killer-blead!

Mrr.Phil: Indeed, I'm not finished yet!

killer110: I'll see it soon then.

Stildawn: Thanks! Good to hear that your first AAR experience is a good one. As for your question: he PPP are the Polaroid Parchment Painters, who make those little polaroid parchment style paintings while the DPC is the Dhirim Polygoon Cinema. Yes, there is a cinema in my medieval kingdom. Maybe one day, when I find the time ánd skills, I could actually mod it in. It would be really cool to have in-game a theatre where you can read this AAR (and others as well?) as time passes.

killer110: lancecor has indeed suggested this already, and I now have the permission from the original authors of the mods my pack would include to use theirs. So expect it soon.
As for the gluing together: I just follow the readme's in the mods, and quite a lot seem to work well together. Listen to CounterPoint391's advice.

Malik Faris: As long as you don't ignore this thread .

tyrannicide: Don't sweat it, it's quite interesting actually, and I've learned something new too.

Velax: I hope to put it up pretty soon, although unfortunately there has been quite a delay.

Lord Brutus: I have quite some pages automatically fire up when I open firefox. Everytime I start up that browser, something like 20 tabs pop up, including a few on both the Paradox and TaleWorlds forums. That's why you can see me online even while I'm actually not actively cruising the forum here.

killer-blead: No-one has send me a pm yet, but I surely want to continue the story. Unfortunately you're right, the past few weeks have been pretty busy.

tyrannicide: The summer holiday is indeed over .

Mno: Actually both: I work to pay for my study (and the rest of course).

Bolkonsky: Thanks . Luckily I do want to come back, despite the cluttering.

lancecor: And your hope is not in vain. It is good to see the thread being kept alive.

KillerDudeMan: I think I won't join the League of Random Posters.

killer110: They surely do! I wonder how much will be written once I'm asleep...

Sorry to keep you all waiting so long. It is indeed a very busy time, and to my shame I haven't written the past month that much. But there are so much writing projects waiting for me. And in these busy times nothing gets done. This shows the big disadvantage of the way I'm writing this AAR: once I finished gaming for a short period, I write a chapter. That means that if I don't play the game for a while, there can't be a chapter for all that time. And I must admit I haven't had the time to play Warband since I posted the last chapter. I thought I would have over a week ago, but I had been mistaken.

Let me give you a glimpse of what I'm working on, in random order:
  • My Thesis. I really have to finish that one. It's been dragging for a long time now, and it's the final straw after ten years of studying (I'm entering my eleventh year now...)
  • Rewriting old stories. The past twelve years I've written over a hundred short stories, and even managed to get some published in the Netherlands, Belgium and Greece. But my writing wasn't always that well; it has improved much the past decade. Still there were some good ideas in some of my earlier stories. I'm working on rewriting them, and intend to try to get them published too.
  • Writing short stories. And of course I shouldn't forget to write some new short stories too. Ideas are floating around in my mind. I just have to put them on paper (or actually, on my harddisk).
  • My book. I have written a book for children between the age of 8 and 12, and test runs on some children in that age category shows they like it very much. Unfortunately the Dutch publisher I had send it too thought it wasn't viable for the Dutch market, even tough she liked it very much. After rereading it, I had to admit she was right. I have some ideas to rewrite it, after which I'll send it in again.
  • My big AAR. Even tough Me, Floris is quite large, it isn't the big AAR I'm working on. For the past one and three quarter years I've been working on that one, but haven't posted a single chapter yet. That's on purpose. I told you above that one of the main disadvantages of Me, Floris is that when I don't play for a while, there won be that many chapters in that same period. With this large AAR that will be different. I'll finish the first season first before I start posting, so there can't be any delay once it is up and running. I intend to post a chapter once a week after that. This will give me time to work on the second season in the meantime, and the posting won't be hampered if I won't have time to write for a while. Sounds pretty good eh? I already finished 100 chapters, and need only 22 more before I can finally start posting and working on season 2.
  • Me, Floris. Of course I will need to continue this AAR. It originally started as a small diversion from my big AAR, a small side project while I regained inspiration for the big one. But it has taken quite a flight of its own, nearing the 50 chapters. It is absolutely one I want to finish!
  • Me, Floris rewritten. A little while ago there has been suggested to turn this AAR into a novel. Even tough this AAR originally started as a small side project, it has grown much the past months, and I think it is viable. But quite some rewriting has to be done. I don't consider this AAR as my best piece of writing to date: it surely can use an overhaul. I intent to rewrite the beginning, and then present it to the TaleWorlds staff. Let's hope they can be made enthusiastic about this idea too.
To make things worse, the past month I haven't had the time to work on any of these projects. They all came crashing to a halt. But the good news is that I finally have some free time at hand, and things will start up again.

Ow, and for the Dutch writing people out there: I'm one of the judges in the Dutch Fantasy/Sciencefiction/Horror writing competion Fantastels. You can send in stories written in Dutch between 1 and 31 October.

I am elated by your success, my friend. Floris has added no small amount of joy to my life and I look forward to more. Congrats.

I'm sure if you offered a small cut of the profit to Taleworlds they would accept.

But what I really think would be cool and make things easier for you is if you created the Temporary Floris Team. Then they could do the small projects like rough drafts of the written copy and the Floris Mod, they would be like volunteers for the AAR, and when you do your grand project then they could choose to continue to help you. I am sure many fans would love this role.

Nah I have this topic on notify, so i get an email when a new post appears (unfortunately its not always when you update), and i have my cellphone set up to receive my emails, and chimes whenever i receive a new email.
And the ignore thing is mainly because it's like "This thread isn't me, floris. so i don't a give ****." or more appropriately, "I cant understand any of these foreign language forums, so they can sod off, i dont care about any thing original M&B related, so they can sod off, i don't care about multiplayer mods, so they can sod off, and theres a few people who i just cant stand having to read their dumb **** any, so they can sod off."

it makes "show unread posts since last visit" actually useful, instead of full of a bunch a crap i have 0 interest in reading.

Haha interesting... A cinema in medieval thats quite a random twist... Anyway very good AAR looking forward to the next chapter... And I might even start my own AAR when my current game ends since I already too far in.

I have really disliked all the AARs that came because off this one. There are like 20 and all have like 5 chapters maximum.

What do you mean all of them? Sveta Avdotya by artifex was epic. The AAR's kept getting boring after the first chapters but monnikje's was fun til the top.

Most problems with AAR's is that the writer stops... The actual writing is generally pretty good if they put the effort in...
