AAR: Me, Floris | Completed | Chapter 60 & Epilogue posted (19-09-2015)

hey would you mind compiling a Floris Mod? like every mod you add is a new version, so we can follow in your footsteps.

I'm sorry for my lack of chapters the past week. Quite a lot has happened! First of all I had to work quite a lot the moment I got back. And last week almost every evening people came over. Even friends from England came all the way over to my place in Holland to bake shoarma pizza's! When finally everyone was gone, and I had some time for myself, my main computer was infected with some kind of virus. I tried quite some stuff, but ended up with a format and reinstall of windows. Luckily my Floris savefiles and mods were all save, so no harm done. It only takes time... And then friends came over (again) for my weekly d&d session, and then the processor of another computer died. I guess king Ragnar is behind this all...

Anyway, tonight I finally gonna start working on the next chapter, after I updated the list of AARs (quite some new ones have popped up, I saw. Good thing!). I hope to finish it within a few days (full days of work lie still ahead of me), so bear with me.

Lord Brutus: I don't agree. He started his AAR around the formation of his kingdom, and unfortunately his game went the wrong way. But instead of abandoning it, cheating or starting over, he wrote an ending to his story. I liked it, but of course taste differs .

lancecor: It's becoming quite a read, and more will follow. Glad you enjoyed it!

Mrr.Phil: Good! I will look it up in a moment, and add it.

lancecor That's a good idea. Next week I've got quite a few days off: then I'll try to contact all the developers of the respective mods and ask them for their permission to bundle it. First I want to finish the next chapter before I'll start this.

I am also glad to inform, that my campaign against the Nords has gone quite well.
We managed to take Ismirala Castle, Tehlrog Castle, and Sargoth, suffering only moderate casualties.
The Nords are probably gathering their forces for a counter attack, so the situation may change soon.

Monnikje, I certainly didn't mean to imply that Wyvern's AAR wasn't worthwhile. Au contraire, its one of the best I've ever read. But eloping with Bryn earned him permanent enimities that eventually caused the perfect storm.

i think i might make a mod for either the mods Brytenwalda or Blood and Steel.

In Brytenwalda i would start a sorta Christian empire started and ruled by the Saxons called the Temple Saxons

In Blood and Steel i would forge an empire similar to Floris' except starting with businesses and using them as a financial back to my army because there are many ways that trading and businesses are more rewarding.

edit: if possible could you make a poll for it? i don't want to make an entirely new thread just to have a poll.

you know. im not going to judge the aars that are young but some like edmundus for instance aren't that great, edmundus was really getting my attention then he got lazy and quit. and one other was cypher who i thought had a bad personality even though the writing was pretty good, i hope to change that and i have decided on the Brytenwalda mod aar because it will pose a very interesting storyline. i will hopefully post the link soon.
