ok just bumping my post...

mod info is now on the first post on this thread.
sort of completed meshes for big ass shield ( kastor the one you sent a pic of :smile:)
and a dodgy little axe, but not much modelling need to be done on the axe front that i wont do tomorrow

and i will do te hammer as well 2morrow.

NOTICE : ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS MOD IN ANY WAY AT ALL WILL BE VERY APPRECIATED :grin: :grin: :grin: as it is at a very early stage and needs a few people to get it off th ground.

if anyone wants to know any more details, has suggestions, or would like to help with this mod in any way or do a couple models for it please pm me or post it on this thread.

and a sword i did ages ago, which *mightt* aspire into an empire sword for some type of thei r troops

and a Map of Norsca just south of the chaos wastes at first i wasnt going to post this pic but after reading about the chaos wastes on the GW website i realised that the chaos wastes are particuly barren. norsca is still apart of the realm of chaos...



plus its just north of the empire! :twisted:

to the right is a dwarven Mountain stronghold too which could provide a nice topic for an expansion i think the map has alot of features that we could take advantage of to make this part of the world eventfull

eg the tower of varrl west of the frozen sea, the plain of the guardians south of the tower of varrl and the gates of zhar south of the plain of guardians...

i think there would be alot of features we could stick into the map :smile:
 
Uh, Kastor/Pellidon, just so you know, most people on the forum who are decently intellegent/have high postcounts/are moderators are Finnish. I'm not... but you know. Just so you don't do something like that again. Also, who the **** uses the word "sentient" in their daily lives? It's an honest question. I just had to ask - I mean, I like to consider myself having a pretty good vocabulary, but I had no idea what that word meant. I might have seen it once.

If you guys would do a more free-formed type of mod, i.e., not completely based on a certain universe, I might help. It just so happens Warhammer is one of the games I haven't played. If you make something in a free-formed universe that's interesting, expect me to be making ideas.
 
crazyeyes just imagine people worshipping evil gods, and murdering/raiding/etc. everything they can see and practising self-mutilation and you have chaos.
truth is, even tho its warhammer chaos is pretty open to creativeness, as there is not stacks of information.
on the other side of the coin, empire are civilised, advanced and diciplined, but are only normal humans.
 
pope i havent seen your renaissance stuff but i would be very happy ifu let us use it, as it would speed up a lot of work on the empire faction.

Also i would like to see the models improved and with textures!
Mostly the Chaos Shield...

Ah and i already have forgiven you. *sighs*
 
yeh i know i need to finish making the smooth curves and all that sh*t.
as for textures, i dont like doing it much, so ill leave it till i'm all done w meshes.
havent had a lot of time to model, so i will do the quality thing when i get more time to spare.


OK - issue on the word ''sentient'' - going to clear it up (even though everyone seems to have got over it)
it isnt used every day, but its fine, if someone wants a word changed to make it clearer, thats ok by me.
also this is not carrying on the issue, its just using up a lot of the thread. :grin:
 
hmm i think that sword would be good for an empire Greatsword if its
two-handed. well it looks like its 2 handed....

for those that dont know what an Empire Greatsword is its:

Members of the Greatswords are personally picked by the Elector Counts from among the champions of their troops. To gain such a promotion, a soldier must distinguish himself under the eyes of his commanding officers or accomplish some heroic feat of arms. Greatswords form the garrison of the Count's castle and their personal bodyguard on the battlefield. Equipped with deadly two-handed swords and superb suits of full plate armour made by Dwarf Smiths, Greatswords swear to never give ground to the enemies of the Empire and to protect the count at the cost of their own lives.

they will be an elite unit in the army possibly the best infantry unit the empire have

so now you know....and knowing is half the battle

EDIT: i use the word sentient on a regular basis :razz: (ignore that)

EDIT2: Also ive almost finished the templates for:

  • tribesman, chaos follower, scout, marauder, marauder horseman, chaos warrior

Instead of the greater minor daemon at the end of the tree you could do this:

Nurgle:

Nurgling (Might be too small)
Plaguebearer

Slaanesh:

Daemonette
Mounted Daemonette

Tzeench:

Horror
Flamer

I don't know about Khorne, though.
 
i was thinking of that, but th tzeench daemons would not work so well, and nurglings...there is nothing small enough.
actually i'm considering asking kastor if its ok to make daemons only attainable from missions, as i dont like the idea of too many of them.

but u r right, of course, there should be better variety, and not a lot is going to happed until we find some1 to do scripts.

You will have to be careful with prisoners in this mod.

I don't particularly like the idea of a Nurgle warband attacking a Slaanesh warband that has captured some Imperial Flagelants and then freeing the Flagellants, who proceed to join the Nurgle warband.

Also, it is a good idea to move the map to Norsca (or maybe Troll Country), instead of the Chaos Wastes main. It would be awkward to use a map that had its center on the North Pole (and the broken Warp gate). Also, if it were to focus on the whole of the Chaos Wastes, borders with Cathay and Naggarond would be a problem.

Magic will be a large problem. Very large indeed. As will te time setting. I assume you will be using a time period in the history of the Warhammer world, and not the settig it is currently in, otherwise you will have to worry about Imperial handgunners a lot, since they do seem to be very common.
