Cool mod idea, looking forward to an Alpha / Beta release!

Constructive criticism on the 'thirster :

Bulk out the shoulders and forearms a bit, and maybe if it was stooped over some, and I think it would look great. Impressive work so far, though. The head just looks a bit too big for the body, I think making some other parts of his upper body beefy would make it look just right. Oh, and I don't know how possible tails are, but you know... :wink:

Once again, looking forward to playing, keep up the good work.
 
Changing the attachment of the hands was already in my plan  :smile:
As for the tail, Bloodthirster ain't got one of those...
 
Hey people lets just keep working here, i'm curently making the bloodthirster work in-game, but i have 14 more days of school left, and after that is over, I'll dedicate my full self to this I promise, I just need some help ok?

I've downloaded your mod Luigi, (well, ages ago...) and I've made several changes.
New troops types, textured wooden_shieldc and used it as the brittonian footman shield, changed the halberd and the glaive to onehanded...etc.

Here's the troop(upgrade?) tree:
Empire:
Empire Peasant-Empire Militia-Empire Swordsman-Empire Sergeant-Empire Greatsword
Empire Huntsman-Empire Archer/Empire Crossbowman-Empire Handgunner
Empire Knight-Empire Knight Templar (couldn't think up of a better name...)

Brittonia:
Brittonian Peasant-Brittonian Footman
Brittonian Archer-Brittonian Sharpshooter
Brittonian Knight Errand-Brittonian Knight- Brittonian Grail Knight

That's about it..

Luigi I love your D&M mod! Loving the models so much!

I did alittle uneducated fudging around with the unofficial editor, and made troop trees for High Elves, Empire, and Bretonnia, as well as editing the map alittle to make Bretonnia, but I encountered a few crashes and lost some enthusiasm. Unfortunately, I couldn't model so I had to use the models given by Armagan. It's fun for me, but I could be looking through it with rose-tinted glasses. Would you like me to upload it or send it to you?
 
Adeptus, I think that is the most reasonoble tree I saw so far, but I would replace some names if you don't mind...
Instead of the 'Knight Templar', I would say 'Knight of the inner circle' (acoarding to codex, thats the upgrade).
Also, I would delete the empire sergeant, and add another line:
Empire peasant-Empire militia... from here on, this could follow your line OR (two options).... -Empire spearman-Empire halberdier...
And before a Knight, it could be a Pistolier-Knight-Knight of the Circle?
 
Well, I still like my troop-trees best (predictably :wink:), but that's not bad I suppose.  Would be a shame to miss out Zealots and Flagellants though - they add a nice dark touch to the Empire.
 
"unique" units maybe? :wink: with their own upgrade tree i dunno just throwing an idea in the air... maybe someone will catch it

As for the name of the knight, I used "knight templar" as "knight of the inner circle" looked a little long... I don't like it when you the names on the troops interfearing with the names of the other troops. (as in when you play the game you see the names of the troops in a little box above their heads.) But I think I'll change the name... It just doesn't sound very Warhammer like..
I found a thread on how to change the window size of the unofficial editor, so I've rebumped a few things...

Empire:
Empire Peasant-Empire Militia/Empire Hunter-Empire Swordsman/Empire Spearman/(ranged tree for the Hunter)-
Empire Sergeant(not touched upon)-Empire Greatswords/Empire knight-Empire Captain/the mounted tree for the knight...
Empire Hunter-Empire Archer/Empire Crossbowman-Empire Handgunner-(perhaps) Empire Pistolier?
(perhaps) Empire Pistolier-Empire Knight-Empire Knight of the Inner Circle (Knight Templar for now.)

Unchanged tree for Brittonians...

If you would like I could send my version of the mod. (called Warhammer mod..) Just PM me about it and you could change anything you don't like in it.
Hmm... I hope sending a file is easy... Ah well, I'm sure it is..

Oh yes, I also made a new shield called "Buckler" using the mesh "shield_dragon". It looks like the steel shield (it has the same texture) but it's smaller and has a little spike on the boss. For the stats I used the nomad shield stats.

Infact... I am going to send it you, as I feel you should have it... I'm sure you can make it into a full-scale Warhammer mod.  :grin:

Hmm.... As Kastor who used to be the mod leader has left us sometime ago (Emperor bless his soul)... and I think it would be a good idea to make a new thread with either Blasius or Luigi as the new mod leader.
I just thought it would be easier as they could edit the 1st comment on the page..  :oops:

EDIT: Kastor still lives! He just can't put as much time in to this mod as he is making another mod. (I wonder what it is..?)

so er... who is going to lead us then?

how about if everyone who still wants to perticipate in this mod, (model, texture, script, map making etc...) posts us on this thread about why they are interested in this mod and how they can help with this mod. So we can see what we have and what we don't have.

Assuming you don't want to stick rigidly to the Empire army book you could include names from WFRP too. Might help with issues like the above (would also allow you to make a seperate tree for pistoliers if you didn't want to go from a ranged to a melee unit). Mind you, there's 6 different Empire army books to choose from...
 
I like that map, but I am missing one base thing... Forests! Ye Old World is covered with them, so add some of those. And you will have to put bridges on all those rivers (I suggest you check Thorgrims Example map thread for info or just PM him and ask politely).

Also, I agree with Adeptus, we need to create a new thread, and I give my vote for new team leader to Luigi, if he wants it, becouse he is the most expirianced with this, while I can model, but I am no modder yet...

I have been thinking, and came up with some ideas:
-If the Chaos, Epire and Bretonia are the main factions, I suggest that we add: -wood elves as forest bandits, -Dark elves as sea raiders.
-I suggest that instead of chaos undivided or all groups combined we use only Khorne. Why? Becouse that means no magic and we have one less thing to worry about.
-Why I suggest we use the elves ofr bandits? 'Cuz that way we can use humans, if we want any other races we need to make them, and that takes ton 'o time.
-But I would realy want to add other races, but lets leave that for later versions, now we must concentrate on the 3 reaces we already include!

But pistoliers do generally become knights - that's the standard career path for Imperial nobles.  If you don't try to stick reasonably closely to the background you might as well just make a generic fantasy mod.

Good ideas. Love that just khorne, but if you make high elves, no seer council if you make no magic :sad: :grin:
 
Yea, not yet, probably in later versions, but as I said, we need to organise and make the first step by knowing... who wants to help... Curently its Adeptus, Luigi, Octoburn and me... Anybody else? Think not...
 
Download some programs (they are free) and read a tutorial about them and you will be very helpfull, specialy if you learn pyton  :mrgreen:
