a typo, a suggestion, and a question

Sergeant at Arms
Typo: In the new version most unit names are capitalized correctly, but sword sisters still are in lowercase. Give those girls the respect they deserve!

Suggestion: When creating a new game, there should be a 'cancel' choice. I've accidentally clicked that instead of 'restore' before, and had to go through the entire character creation process to get back to the main menu.

Question: In the new version (.622), are the Swadian Knights supposed to only wield a 1h sword? In the new version, all my Swadian Knights cruise around, mounted, wielding only a 1h sword, and using no shield. This makes them much less effective than in the old version (6.22) when the mounted ones usually carried lances and the foot knights used shields. Now they get torn up by anything with a range advantage over them. They also all have the same armor now (plate suit or something). I liked it better when there was a variety. Am I just getting unlucky with my party or is this happening to everybody?

I second the motion for a cancel button at the character creation screen. I've accidentally hit "New Game" a few times too, and it's kind of a pain getting out of it.

I don't know much about English grammar rules. "Sword sister" is a common name. Should I be capitalizing that?

There's a bug in the game which destroys the variation among your troops sometimes. (All the troops of a kind will have identical faces and equipment.) Had you started your game in 0.623?

Ahhh I see now. Actually the way you're doing it (capitalizing only proper names) is more correct. Many games, though, will just capitalize everything to give it all a consistent look. It looks kind of strange looking at a list where some words are capitalized and others aren't. More of a typographical issue than a grammar one! A minor nitpick at best, however. :)

This is a game I started in .622. Does this bug affect the save file permanantly, or is it intermittent? A good excuse to start a new character? :)

I haven't really worked out the bug completely. I fixed a few things so it may have been solved... or not. You should be able to get variation among troops back by disbanding your troops and hiring new ones. Just check if faces are identical. If they are, then it is bugged.

I have to disagree a little bit on this (really very minor) point. Alright, let's use the sword sisters as an example. See, right there, I was using it in a sentence, so it wasn't capitolized, because it's not a proper noun, as you've mentioned (although, if the "Sword Sisters" is some sort of organization or something, it should be capitolized.) However, in lists and such it's generally common practice to follow title capitolization rules. Each name is kind of self-contained in its own "button", and should therefore be capitolized. Just think of when you title a button when you're making a program.

Well, I've already written way too much on such a pointless topic. Sorry for wasting your time. I'll shut up now

Oh, and a more important note. Now you've capitalized proper nouns, but you've left titles in lowercase, like "constable Hareck". It should be "Constable Hareck". Any time a title is used, it should be capitalized. Think of Officer Barbrady or President Bush. Or even Janitor Bob.

OK. I guess I am doing it the right way now. In the Party screen, button names are getting their initial letters capitalized on the fly. However, in the text, common names will still have lowercase initial letters.

And I fixed "Constable Hareck" too. I can't stand to see his name miswritten. I like that guy.
