BEFORE I BEGIN, i don't know how to create 'mods' or do anything like that. I've seen the mods and i can't seem to find one i like. This is just me stating an idea i'd like to see. If you don't want to see it, don't read on.
I was looking through the mods section for Warband.. And i can't seem to find one that looks half decent. That's not saying their bad, just not to my fancy. I just want one that doesn't necessarily change the world. I just want one that changes a few aspects, brings a bit more life to Native. Because, lets face it, Native does get very repetitive? Moving to the point, I have thought of a seriously good idea for a mod. It's not a conversion of Native, it's simply an add-on: arena. Now, we have tournaments, we have the duel thing. But why can't we have like, a gladiator 'story'? Like a tournament, not teams, but just a man vs another man. And when they win, they get honour. A true underdog fighting up for glory. And there should be like, a person who is recognized as the current champion (never been beaten) and the player should be allowed to take that title from him. I don't know if what i'm asking for is too much, just an idea.
Another idea. When you capture a KING, or anyone for that matter, you should be able to do more. I mean, talking to them makes no difference, fighting someone in their faction, they do not acknowledge the fact you have their king in your party. I reckon you should be allowed to have more freedom with it, like killing them. If you were the leader of a faction who was at war, and you took the oppositions king/leader, you wouldn't give them it back for a sum! I admit, that'd make it easy to win the game, so why not make it more difficult to get the king (he doesn't venture out much? heavily defended?) and if you do get to them, you could kill them. And also, you can kill lords to weaken the faction.
I think also, missions are looking quite good in Warband. Maybe however, there should be like designated missions. The player can choose if they want to do them or not. That'd open up the game alot! Sort of like, the king telling the player to kill one of his unfaithful subjects, and then when you arrive they already knew you were coming, and you have to fight your way to them, with a final 'boss-like' battle at the end. This would give the game much more structure.
I know this makes me look like a big critic, i understand that. I don't expect there to be a magic person who goes "This guy is making sense! Lets make a mod" or even for Taleworlds to take this in consideration for their next update(s). But, i just thought i'd let my opinion across, and see if anyone agrees. I think Warband is a fantastic game, very well done. But it could be vastly improved. And i think this game has the potential to do so. I maybe just think this because it does get kind of boring from time to time.
