A story on how we might have been trolled ironically, epically and deeply.

Ok, the game is pretty hard at the beginning.
Making it in the gamesworld is also pretty hard for developers.

So you start the game, you cannot walk for a few moments without bandits attacking you and defeating you.
You reach a city, phew!

You find yourself in deep money trouble and you try to get a little bit of an army to hold yourself up.

You accept a quest where you have to collect money from villagers and bring it back (so it can be spend usefully)...

So you take on this quest, you collect money from people and when they complain you keep collecting their money...
You never give it back for where it is meant for, infrastructure, resources, etcetera.

Instead you take the tax money and you build up an army and suddenly everything is solved!
The game seemed hard but now since you took a lot of money from a lot of different people you can grow with a breeze of ease.

You don't mind that the people from where you took the money will not see it back, you just don't show your face to them anymore.
Now you concentrate on something bigger360 and forget about the people where you stole the money from with lies and deceit...

Reread the story....

I get it. Bandits steal all your stuffs with no remorse. You then proceed to make it in the world by stealing poor people's stuffs with no remorse.

We are the villagers.

Taleworlds is the "Hero" taking our money but not giving it back (investing it in future console releases instead)

So ironically liars cannot keep a secret and Taleworlds obsessed with their own cunning plan, made the game like how they progress themselves.

Ironically the game is also as simple as that:

The game looks hard in the beginning and is actually hard...
It is hard until you reach the quest to take tax money from villagers and supposedly give it back...
You just don't give it back, buy mercenaries and you "won the game"
Well the game is not over yet... You just have to send caravans until you have 5 million and then you can supposedly find out how bugged sieging is.

Dude I didn't take a single cent from any villagers in my game. You don't have to. I just took 8 loans, bought some mercenaries, and start sending caravans. And after a lot of months I entered a faction and started to conquer castles. But seriously no need to rob innocent villagers

YOU DECIDE the path you want to take.

Umm, I'm pretty sure you got what you paid for. What, are you making this thread cause you think you wasted $15-25 on a game? I think you need to wait until they patch it up, like they always do. Then you might have another opinion.

Phuk console releases.

Wait, what?

1.  Taleworlds hasn't given us a shred of reason to think they're heading to consoles.  In fact, I think they'd be hard-pressed getting the game design to run well on any current console, because of the high CPU requirements.

2.  The rest of this thread hasn't made a bit of sense, at all.

3.  As usual, things will get patched.  As impatient as everybody who bought it no-doubt is, that's what has happened every release.  WFaS may have been released too early and with a bit less QA than should have been the case, but past history indicates that it will get polished up over time, if sales justify the time spent.

As stated by Nox in another thread.
WFaS were released to early.
And updates will occur, how major these patches will be, i don't know.
But why can't people be patient? damn...
Inpatient people.. -.-'

It's called capitalism. No critisism from my part though, Microsoft does it, Apple does it, everybody does it. It's the way how things roll ^^

Cheer up, it was just some self induced paranoid mind trip which I couldn't resist to expand and share...
I'm no hater, I compiled a big list of good ideas while playing the game.
I'm thinking of learning to mod...

Here are 2 epic ideas which will make the game much better:

Thicker woods and more "props" on the battlefield for tactical usage and for a bit of countering the fire arms.

Fire arms can jam: 20-40% chance for fire arms to jam after walking through water (so rivers can also be used tactically)
20-40% chance for fire arms to jam during rain and mist.
60% chance for fire arms to jam during heavy rain.

Protip: if you collect the taxes, the timer on the quest disappears. You can pay the noble his stuff back when you have a million gold. In ten years. While being his king.

Accusing a studio such as Taleworlds of stealing your money is way over the top. It is true that they could have used a different engine but needless to say that it is one hell of a big task to build another one, and on a big big budget most probably.

Patches are on the way and I really don't think that WFAS is as bad as many seem to think. It is loads of fun once you get used to the new battle dynamics. And as for single player mode, everything from sieges to earning money has been modified and this is a good thing. It would be disappointing if you were able to carve your path forward exactly like you used to in Warband.

WFaS, as it is, and I stand by it, is a steaming pile of ****.

Now, I really do look forward to patches, really. And I love the Mount & Blades games, really. But WFaS is still practically unplayable.

Sure bud, I personally love taking castles single handedly, while spamming ctrl-h, because my army of 400 behind me hasn't moved past the first ladder. Just love it.

No hostility dude. It is just obvious that a lot needs to be fixed before the game becomes what it was supposed to be in the first place but it is still fun on my part. I am not a fanboy who will just blindly defend the game just for the sake of the game. Still, I don't think that it is such a big failure.

Besides Firearms just jamming (I could be mistaken) in some cases doesn't the powder fail to ignite when its wet? Making a Gun useless in rain or wading through a river like you suggested.

This has to be the stupidest person on those forums. Congrats.
