got a problem,I was doing joust matchs when i owned this guy,went to fight him on land and he swung faster that i did,and i had damn near 500 pts in two handed sword?!?!??! wtf?? he was weakend so wtf??? :?:
 
That map is awesome, great work. It looks pretty accurate; the only complain I have is that the Wall is actually a little too straight. In the closer-up map in A Storm Of Swords called Beyond the Wall, it shows that the western half is a little further north than the east. The first two results in a Google search for: westeros "the wall" are perfect, but the links are broken. Those with the book can see, though.
As I ruminate further it comes to me that Ben Stark said east of Castle Black the Wall is like an arrow, and to the west it's like a snake.
 
this is a random question, but do I have to start a new game every time a release of a M&B mod comes out?  I had played a while on ASoIaF 0.2 and when I installed 0.3 I couldn't load my save.  I had recently exported my character so was able to import him fine into a new game but it was too bad that I had to start over.  From what I have read in the forums it seems like some of the module info is included in the save file so you would have to start a new game to see all the changes?
 
Generally yes, but it depends what's been changed. It's usually safer to though, some very odd bugs can result otherwise.

An idea to balance this would be to let the Greyjoys follow Euron´s plan hence giving the south a taste of the whip and spawn rangergroups to balance out the Others, preferably with an option to join the brothers- reinstalling the old .808 ranksystem would be a way to work around this. Also, I´ve been thinking, would it be possible to give dragonglass an unique damagecode, i.e b for blunt and d for obsidian or sumthin´...? Also, the new Targaryen parties could spawn more often to harry the southerners. Again, incorporate the Pirates source! Would add a bit of depth especially for Ironborn.

it seems that two handed swords are really really slow compared to staffs. The first training I almost got owned, no way I could hit him after blocking so I had to flee and hit hoping I could hit him and then keep on once he was hit.

Overall the game is quite hard, tons of ennemies roaming and it's quite a shock to see 60 greyjoys running at you just as you get out of first town. Dothrakis are quite a surprise too, the can own you good with arrows. I like that

All in all the mods is great but I can't help but feel that you're trying to do too much. The situation is a mix of different periods.
We're in a sort of westeros total war between all kings but robb stark is still alive and dothrakis are inland? not even mentionning tyrells or martells who aren't really at war in books yet. but I can understand this from a fun standpoint :smile:
The north seems quite baren too but it's nice to see it reworked for next iterations.

Right now it's my fave mod so great job on it :smile:
 
btw just spotted a couple of bugs:
near winterfell there are no bridge but you still can cross river
the enemy faction troops in party morale modifier doesn't seem to apply
 
I can make the Other armor.  Really, it's a simple process, all I need is a base texture - which I have in Native and in ASoIaF mod.  Don't forget though: Others themselves should be rare (General level almost, but killable), and have alot of HP, leading the reanimated undead, which, too, alot of HP, although not as much as the Others.  Don't give them alot of armor, you'll just do 0 damage each hit  :lol:

Preferably, you'd need a flaming arrow or sword (Lightbringer and Thoros anyone? :wink:) to kill the undead, and the obsidian to kill the others.  Although I'd imagine a flaming sword would damage them anyway, dragonglass is just "solid fire".

Legend also says that they rode giant ice spiders, I believe, or at least commanded some.

Bam, easy, several armors, swords, and racial coloring.  Others are bald, so make sure none of them spawn with hair  :wink:.  I didn't test, so I hope I got the eyes right.  Also including a single Valyrian Steel axe texture, although I intend to make some more for choice.  If you don't like the texture and style I used on the Others, just say so.

There's an option to include or not include Dothraki parties when you start a new game.

But... I'm more a coder, than a modeller, so I have a stupid question...
As I understanding, it's only a textures in your archive. What do I need to do to get a ready-to-use-in-game 3d model - the simplest way?

Truly said, there will be no Dothraki in 0.4. I've made Others instead of them. :wink:
However, maybe I'll add Dothraki again in future releases - they could start to spawn at later parts of game, by script...
Also, I'm thinking a lot about rerolling Targarien Royalists to Mountain Clans...

At this moment I'm trying to make situation at game start meets a moment just after Eddard's execution.

I'm thinking, that main goal of next (0.5 :wink:) release could be making Tully, Arrens and Greyjoys an independent factions, with own heroes and castles...
Then, there should be 2 different strategic AI types: one for major players, as Starks, Lannisters, Baratheons and Greyjoys, and other for support factions, which ones couldn't pretend on Iron Throne themselves, but could choose to ally one major player or another...
 
Splitting the AI into majors and minors shouldn´t be to hard, check out TLDs solution for it. Replacing the royalists with Clansmen seems a bit off the hook when there´s already mountain bandits to reroll. That was my basic idea for the .02 map, kingswood brothers featured as forrest bandits and the mountain bandits spawned in the northen Vale. I´d keep the royalists, allowing for a later option to let the main Targaryen army of dothrakiand general rag-tag land later in game if you don´t keep them down.
 
I don't understand why there are parties of Targ loyalists running around in the War of the Five Kings.

- Manhunters are renemed to Night Watch Patrol.
- Coins now called 'stags' and 'dragons'. There is an option, when start new game, how many stags in 1 dragon - 210 (that's right count) or 100 (wrong, but more comfortable)
- Game starts at year 298, and there are no names for months, they called just "2nd moon" or "9th moon"...
- New mod logo by HokieBT.

Known bugs and incompletenesses (hope to solve it in future releases...):
- Inconsistency between settlements locations and their scene exterior
- Some banners looks correct om map, but turned wrong in scene (I think, I've already found a solution, but that requires some time...)
- Others' appearance in game completely fall short of book's description... (I've already got textures for them, but still need to integrate them...)
