Oops... detected a slight problem while testing.. everything in the dornish marshes is inaccessable. This is due to use of a tileset that is obviously so by default.
I´ve edited this in my own copy and will soon send the new smoothed map to Gohda, my link to the world (thnx for being the best). Overwriting the old map file hasn´t caused any problems in my own saves thnak the seven.

I hope that's a typo; no marshes in Dorne, it's 'marches', I'm not sure but I believe its the part that connects to the rest of Westeros.

Dorne is a generally sandy area.  The Marches would be the foothills and generally roughed land between the more green areas northward and the duned, sandy lands of Dorne.

Played the mod for the last day or so, lots of fun.

One gripe i have though, is the Stark Troop tree isn't a good reflection of the soldiers used by the northmen in the book. Lack of any Calavry tree at all is a major oversight. When Robb leaves the twins in AGoT (or is it ACoK, i can't remmeber), he commands the Calavry (or 'horse' as they call it in the book) whilst he puts the infantry under the command of Roose Bolton. Robb leaves the twins with a huge number of troops, something in excess of 8 thousand, all mounted.

If having mounted northmen was in the works somewhere and i missed it, I appologise for my rant.  Just seeing 'Lionguard' super heavy knights when the starks only got the default nord tree, annoyed me a bit

Really, if you look hard enough, there's almost no real difference between the armies of Westeros (Except the Wildlings, Mountain Bandits, Ironborn, and Dornish), except clothing and maybe some armor.  Perhaps military strategy, but that seems mostly the same (Assemble and ride on).

Pretty Much.

Some edited banners - Cleganes with their hounds, Baratheon now has a proper back stag on golden field and for whose who choose Ironman at the start of the game  - Greyjoy kraken.
Just change the textures and enjoy!

Two questions, I'm interested in:

Has anyone already found a valyrian steelblade or another unique item?

Who is playing with an Ironman and what are your impressions?

Do you have already uploaded this new map?

Yes indeed! Gotten hold of Longclaw! Fun! The new map ain´t much, some more elevation, the Neck now harder to pass (don´t know if enyone noticed the way around, but it was there) and the dornish border now consists of passable plain, not impassable mountains. Overwriting the old one with the new one cause no troubles with saves, so do. Enhances things when half of the armies ain´t neatly lined up along the mountains trying to reach Storm´s End or whatever...

Any game that lets me kill the Soldiers of Lannister is perfect.
Now if only Cersei can be killed...

I have a level 17 character in this ASoIaF mod and have tried to list the unique items I have found so far.

ItemHandsSell PriceWeightSwingThrustSpeed RatingWeapon ReachRequired Strength
Ice230001.841c30p1151106
Heartsbane23000245c32p1051107
Longclaw1 or 230001.539c30p1101085
King Roberts Warhammer230009.533c34p828615
Needle130000.825c23p112862

Overall, while I LOVE this mod and really appreciate everybody's work on it, I am a little disappointed by these unique items....  Ice has a higher speed than Longclaw and Needle?  King Rober's Warhammer has the same weapon reach as Needle?  Ice is supposed to be a massive sword and its just barely longer than Longclaw?  I think the numbers need minor tweaking (especially with weapon reach) compared to some of the other items in the game.  A Sword of War has a weapon reach of 130, I think Ice should be close to that.  A Bastard sword has a weapon reach of 120 and Longclaw is a bastard sword but only has a 108.  Ice is way too fast (115) and Roberts warhammer needs higher damage (its very heavy) and weapon reach.  Overall, I usually don't find myself using these items much and will sometimes give them to my hero's depending on what they have.  I find myself switching back and forth between a balanced sword of war or heartsbane, and occasionally Longclaw if I need a shield.    I'd like the stats on these items to be really good so I'd have a difficult time trying to decide which one to use.  Now, I'm trying to convince myself to use them just because they are 'unique'.  Anyway, I'd be interested in finding out the stats of any other items people have found, great game otherwise.

Now that doesn't look right... Whatever happened to "Stick them with the pointy end?"
