I find the concept cool, and I like the way the picture is drawn, intentionally or unintentionally, it gives it a dreamlike appearance to me.
I like the idea of this being a Vlandian soldier's nightmare after hearing about the savage warriors from the north who don wolfskins and fight with large axes and brutal strength.
Speaking of wolfskins, when I first saw this my brain thought about the thuggish minor faction for Battania first so I was a bit confused why it said Sturgia before I remembered the ulfhednars.

I like that idea

Good news everyone - All Bannerlord units are being vaccinated for coronavirus to prevent delays!

Sorry for those who have been checking this thread and not finding anything new for the last few days - and thanks to those who have messaged me to check in. I took on a large project at work and it is keeping me very busy. I will do my best to still post a sketch of something every day - Even if it's a napkin sketch

Nice one. I really like the story book ones as well; the aesthetic reminds me of the scene-setting preamble to the missions in Age of Empires 2.

Howdy all.

I was posting these on the Bannerlord reddit and I was told I should post them here as well. I'm doing a Bannerlord sketch every day until it releases. I'm on day 2. I will consider this post successful if it eases the wait for Bannerlord for even 1 person. It's certainly helping me to pass the time more patiently.

From Day 1:
"Like many I've been anxiously awaiting the early access release of Bannerlord - though I haven't been waiting as long as many, I discovered warband about 4 months ago. Since I learned how close it is until Bannerlord releases, I've been checking this thread daily for even the slightest new information or point of interest. I've appreciated those who have added here. As the countdown continues I decided I would contribute, I'm going to add a Bannerlord sketch every day until the 31st - even if it's just a doodle. For my first painting I chose the Ulfhednar. I think they are really cool. They remind me of those guys in the 13th warrior. As soon as I can I'm going to amass an army of them. "

From Day 2:

Sketch 2: Archer - I've always liked archers and I default to that play-style unless I make a conscious effort to branch out. I guess my logic is if you can hurt your enemy before they even reach you then you have a great advantage.
"

Sketch 3: Knight. Busy day today, wasn't sure I was going to have time for this one. Excited to try these guys out, but I suspect I'll be mostly on the receiving end of them.

Sketch 4: Heir - Who will your son become? Will he be the spitting image of his father, treading the same familiar paths? Or will he travel an unknown road, building a legacy from nothing?

Croquis 5: Cheval - La première fois que je me suis tenu à côté d'un cheval, j'ai compris pourquoi un soldat à cheval chargeant vos rangs serait une force si puissante et redoutable. Je crois que les Israélites ont été mis en garde contre «la multiplication des chevaux» en raison du pouvoir qui en découle - et de la tentation subséquente de la guerre.

Sketch 6: Mounted Warrior - Le manque apparent de Battania d'une spécialisation puissante en fera-t-il un choix idéal pour la polyvalence? Ou manquera-t-il de troupes suffisamment fiables pour l'emporter sur des enjeux élevés?

Croquis 7: Légionnaire - Avancez et maintenez la ligne.

Croquis 8: Paysan - Où votre lignée aura-t-elle ses débuts? Voulez-vous vous aligner avec du sang noble? Ou les charmes d'une beauté inconnue vous éloigneront-ils du champ de bataille?

Sketch 9: Camel Cavalry - Parce que c'est jeudi

Sketch 11: Cataphract - Il aurait été plus rapide de peindre un tank.

Certainement pas un croquis 14: élevez votre bannière en moins de 2 semaines

Draw some instruments for Bannerlord.
Basic & Fast drawings. But, maybe for 10-12 instruments which should be suitable especially for siege mode.
Drums etc.

Hi Everyone, I want to sincerely thank you for supporting this thread. I had no idea when I started this that so many people would enjoy it. Unfortunately, this will be my last art post for a while. I've done my best to keep this going but time is short for me at the moment. I am one of those fortunate people who have found themselves with more work than they can take on during this crisis. I was hired to do all the art and design for a series of subscription board games for public schools. This has been taking nearly all of my work and playtime. In addition, I am trying to prepare my own game for Kickstarter. This thread has been a lot of fun for me - a lot of laughs and inspiration and a big help for me to pass the time until bannerlord - which ironically I won't be able to play for at least a couple of months. It has been an honor and privilege to go on this journey with you. Thank you all for your kind comments. For those who have made requests, I'm sorry I couldn't get to all of them. I wish your future kingdoms prosperity. I wish your armies victory in battle. Most importantly, however, I pray you and your families will enjoy health and happiness.
