Thanks for this manual.

I am from the TWCenter.net forums and after years of my friends trying to talk me into getting M&B I pulled the trigger.

My mod is suffering now.  I can't help it, I really am enjoying myself.

y2day? Here...!

May I do something for you? Do you need something? May I worship you?

i have found a quite profitable trip that only goes through sargoth thir and curaw

start at sargoth and buy flax for less than 50 gold.

go to thir and sell it for more than 100 gold and if you can buy salt if not go back to sargoth and do again untill you can.

once you have salt go to curaw and sell you salt and any flax you may still have and get iron for less than 100 gold.

travel back to sargoth and sell as much iron as you can and repet the trip.

i have so far made about 5-10k from 1-2 round trips (possably a couple more) from this.
it is both easy and cheap and on my trips i have so far encounted only 1 group of sea raiders. this is a pretty safe route for a new or older player so it would be worth doing.

personaly if i could i would have a caravan doing this route whilst i am off in some other area making money or fighting.

I need more space on the head topic like 8000 characters or my other post on the first page moved up. Anyone know how I can do this? I want to edit some more stuff in and possibly fix things to make them more officialish.. I need some leeway  :!: Heh  let me know.

Mmeh  My brother just read the guide and still complained to me how the lord recruiting system isn´t logical  He has modified the char to be über killingmachine etc, and now he tries to do the claimant quest and is pissed off because three of the lords turned him down even though at all the three things (military, politic and the third [can´t remember]) they were with him  I myself said to him it´s just tough luck or he said some wrong things... But he won´t stop *****ing about it -.- So I just wan´t to ask if anyone here has a "logical" reason why they turned him down (and so I can peacefully continue to become "The Emperor Of Calradia") :grin:D

I don't know the exact maths in here but i do know some of the factors contributing to lord conversion results.

The 3 views are important, RtR is also a factor, Persuasion is a factor, Relations with target Lord, relations between target lord and his king, and a big chunk' o random. Oh and lets not forget the amount of undistributed fiefs you got.

Whoaw :O He actually stopped nagging about it and just grumbles about it by himself

Greatly thanks man

why/how should you start out with only mercenaries? that doesnt make sense to me. you have to build up your troops to fight bandits before you can afford the mercenaries, and after your troops are built up, theres no need for expensive to maintain mercenaries unless you want quick troops.

Go to Curaw after making 500 denars and trade iron to any City to make profit. Rince and repeat until it's starts adding up. And Mercs are good in the begining; for the main reason is that they help your peasants from getting owned so it's not bad to have a few. Plus if you make about 10k off the iron or more you can manage 30+ Mercs.

Try to avoid cavalry mercs at the start. Not only are they most expensive, they mop up early bandits too quickly for your village recruits to get enough exp.

Yeap, use like merc swordsmen, maybe a couple calv. to keep the map speed up. Once your merc line meets the enemys, flank or pull in your rabble behind the mercs, so they get kills and dont take the blunt of the damage. There is other ways like be really badass and just solo 50 guys on your own. But thats a tale for another day

Oh and one other thing if you really want to be tactical organize a different group for the mercs and the regs, and have 2 seperate lines.

In general all regular soldiers will get one share, your hero companions will get three shares each, and as the leader you will get ten shares of the loot
so if i have 10 companions and 10 soldiers that will be 40 shares. And i will get only 20% of loot?  And with 160 soldiers my share is only 5%?

Seems pretty reasonable. More troops = more people wanting loots. With more people one would assume you will fight larger army and therefore attain more loot.

You can hardly expect lotsa stuff when you use 200 men to pound on a group of 20 bandits.
