a quick question

ive been a vassal of the swadians for quite a long time now, but how long is it before i become a marshall? or do i get elected or must i ask the king to be elected?

When the current marshal gets defeated the faction will have an election.
Some lords may vote for you and eventually you get chosen, it depends on a few factors though, I think the most important was relationship.

It helps to have LOTS of renown.  I didn't even get a chance at election until I had around 1500.

ahh ok thanks a lot, i forgot how much renown i have but last time i checked it must of been around 800

i've gotten marshall around 700, mine is hitting like 1600 now and i've never lost a battle yet and my relation with rhodoks has reached 100 lol, so i'm staying marshall for quite a while.

You mean as long as I stay undefeated in battle I'm still a Marshal?
