a quick, but annoying slowdown

i get an abbrupt 1 second delay when arrows are fired, and my system is most likely good enough to this game.

amd althon 2600+ 2.1ghz
ati radeon 9800 pro
1gb ram

Are you using the latest graphics drivers?

What sound card are you using? I doubt the system would have a problem rendering the arrow or calculating where it would hit, however the sound may be causing the issue.

Ati have the suckiest driver support in the galaxy. Honestly it took me like 8 hours to find a driver for my card....
