A Question on Armagan/Ipek's Vision for the game

This is a post not only targeted toward the development team but for the rest of us:

There is a lot of good discussion on these forums. What I've noticed after playing since June this year, however, is that we, as a gaming audience, don't have a very good idea of what the developers had in mind.

I believe I heard somewhere that this game started out as a hobby and labor of love for Armagan and Ipek, so obviously they want to take the game in whichever direction they want. Since we're along for a ride though, I was wondering if we could get a small update on what Armagan and Ipek wanted to change / add in the near future.

Would one of them want to do an informal interview?

Well I've never been disappointed with the game so far, so whatever direction Armagan and Ipek will be going with the game, I'm sure the things that come next won't disappoint either.

Though of course it would be nice to get a sneak preview of some of these things, if at all possible.

My guess is that they have no idea where the game is going to go one version till the next. Makes it more interesting IMO.

Maybe they have no idea, so they started the "suggestion" forum and will pick the ideas they like the best from there!

I love the idea that we are helping to perfect and complete an unfinished BETA into a fully-complete and developed product. It's an excellent opportunity to truly create a game made via fans.

First of all...i suggest development of background story to the regions\towns and characters.

I also reckon that they should improve horse-riding so that you can turn the horses around easier in combat because at the moment u have to go really slowly in order to turn around quickly enough to face the enemy.

I have also spotted a bug on the main map when u have armies appearing and apparently chasing you for a fight. Well...they don't chase you, they stop if you stop. You have to go to them if u want to fight a 'river pirate' for example. I suggest a fix so that they keep pursuing you if you stop.

And that's not a bad idea if I may say so.

When your party reaches the point you last clicked at on the map, the game automatically pauses. Try holding down spacebar when you're stopped, this forces gametime to continue.

My 15th post at these forums was asking for a 'To-Do' list.

I would love to see some sort of direction, if not actual plans as to what M&B will become. If it doesn't happen, though ... I have much faith in Armagan's ability to make an awesome game.

*Off-Topic*

I noticed a funny post ... I was welcoming new players very early in my TaleWorlds forum days ... my 11th (I think it was the 11th ... didn't count, but was a few posts before the post I listed above) post was welcoming a new member!

second that.

I could have sworn that armagan had said that the main focus for now was to perfect the engine and the mod tools. One thing at a time and all. I took that to mean that they might make the basics of a plot but would leave any far-reaching epics and elaborate storylines to modders while they perfect the game itself (since they can only do so much at once). It sounded like a good plan for me, hopefully some talented teams will respond to the call and make a very cool game with their nice engine. Considering that we've had lots of modders generate some very fun mods even before the mod tools came out, I think it's a plan with a good chance of sucess.

With the horses try increasing your riding skill and buying a more manueverable horse.
